Personal Crypto

I screwed up on the college entrance exam, but I didn't feel guilty about it. It wasn't right for a person of my age to be so hard on. It has been a month since I have celebrated my 18th birthday.

My father left the hospital and finally came home. He was lying in the hall with wires and pipes all over him. My mother was always on top of us. On the one hand, she was serving my father, and on the other, she was giving me advice. I'm sick of my parents. If a guilty were to be called, they'd have to look after themselves. It was neither my mother nor my father's fault that my father was sick. This kind of shit happens to someone. This time the lottery hit us. What pissed me off was that they couldn't accept their fate. The price of my father's personal cryptocurrency had dropped to one-fifth, while we didn't know his illness yet. We live in such a disgusting order, and I'm supposed to sit down and study. Their son is not the kind of person they dream of. He doesn't like to work and has a mediocre mind. My mother will no longer travel as comfortably as she used to, and my father's life will never be the same. Maybe they won't be so upset if they accept the situation as it is. My mom's not going to be home with a sour face every day. And they're going to leave me alone, and I'm going to get rid of this life with my friend Serkan.

When I was in such futile thoughts, it suddenly came to mind to check my personal crypto's value. The day I turned 18, the public offering was realized, and I failed the university exam, so it didn't even reach half the price I expected. Serkan said that the personal cryptocurrency rig had emerged to control us. I said, "If you don't want to use it, don't." I planned to sell all my personal crypto money and settle in the countryside. Any place where people aren't too ambitious to think about this kind of staff could be right for me.

I couldn't figure out the numbers I saw on my cell phone screen. I checked the location of dots and commas, updated the page, nothing changed. My personal crypto's value seemed to have increased by 130 times. My heart rate was quite fast, as you can imagine. A person of my age should have been the first in the university exam to have personal crypto with such a value. He should also be a licensed athlete, a social media phenomenon, an active member of numerous clubs and associations. I haven't done any of this, but the most important thing is the result. I quickly refreshed the screen a few times, logged on to another site, and looked at it; the number was the same. I immediately ordered to sell five percent of my personal crypto through my pocket computer. A few seconds later, when I saw the money passed into my Ethereum wallet, I believed I was rich and threw a triumph over my bed. Eventually, someone understood my potential.

Before I say anything to mom and dad, I decided to investigate the truth. I had no idea how to do such research, though, but I didn't worry about it. I'd give someone the money, and they do it. I walked out of the house, telling mom I was going to meet Serkan.

The outside looked brighter to me than usual as if the world had suddenly become a much more beautiful place. I didn't have to go to Serkan's house in Mecidiyeköy with a phaeton pulled by giant dogs. I called an airship through my cell phone application. These airships, pulled by genetically modified remote-controlled albatross, were in luxury consumption class. I would have had the right to such luxuries as a young man whose crypto had risen so high. I got in a little boat-like basket of the airship, and I checked the value of my personal crypto from my pocket computer. The price didn't change. The giant albatross, which would draw the airship, fluttered slightly as if they wanted to warm their wings. We took off soon. I took a suggestive look at those who were trying to get in the way of heavy phaeton traffic down the road. These carriages, taken by genetically modified giant dogs, could go very fast if the roads were empty, but the roads were not empty.

Serkan didn't know I was coming to see him. I wasn't sure if I should tell him about the latest developments. Even if he was my friend, Serkan was ultimately a fraud, and I was now a rich man. Serkan was pretending to be against the crypto business for principled reasons, but it probably wouldn't make a cent if his crypto were released. The personal crypto business began ten years ago. It became widespread in a short period of time, just like the replacement of motor vehicles with genetically modified animals to protect the environment. It was never clear what would change in the world, and there was no need to make long-term plans. That's exactly what my parents didn't understand. They couldn't understand the spirit of the new age. Who could have guaranteed that the professional information they wanted me to obtain would not suddenly become invalid? In my opinion, in this crazy age, there was no need to push yourself too hard for anything. In the past five years, my father has done his best to preserve his personal crypto value, and he has not been willing to sell a single coin with his fear that its value will fall. It wasn't only my father's thing, though. Most adults were thinking that way. But it was best to live the day. As Omar Khayyam said in his quatrain;

O blind! This place, this sky, these stars, is naught!
Let it go and keep yourself peaceful!
In the universe that has been set up and dissipated
You get a breath; it's naught!

On the airship, the cool breeze that struck my face brought Ezgi to my mind. Now that I'm a rich and prestigious young man, maybe she'd like me. I never forgot the day they wave to us from the airship along with Tug as we went down by the coach. That's what my family doesn't understand. For them, life was nothing less than responsibilities, and there was never room for miracles in life. As soon as I remembered the word miracle, I looked at my personal crypto value, and I saw that it didn't change.

In Mecidiyekoy, I got off the airship on the free track created by a shopping center in the hope of attracting wealthy customers. They filled every part of the track with holograms. I went through a pink dinosaur hologram and headed to the Pan Café where we'd meet Serkan. My parents didn't like him, but Serkan was a loyal friend. As soon as he heard I wanted to talk to him, he agreed to meet without question.

I had three questions in mind:

Why was my crypto worth so much, and how long would it stay at that level?
Would Ezgi like me?
Was my money enough to buy my father a mobile medical support unit to get him out of the house?

Although Serkan had left high school, he could answer all kinds of questions. We should condemn the social order that could not appreciate his abilities and make him a fraud. So, everybody had to stick to the templates? Many famous business people abandoned their schools, plunged into life, and provided jobs for thousands of people. If I told my parents, they would object to it; they would object to everything I said, but I would be incompatible and rebellious if you ask them.

Serkan came out with his punk-style cut-out hair painted in purple. The man had such confidence in his walk that those who saw him thought he was a famous pop star.

As soon as he sat in the chair, he said, “Brother, do you have a fantastic plan?”

I can't lie. It's not right to lie to your best friend. It was best to say something incomplete. I said, "My crypto is twice as valued today."

I don't know if he understood I cheated on him. He's not the kind of guy that gets hurt by things like that. He always focuses on the positive aspects of things. “We're trying sex androids tonight,” he said.

"Why did it rise? What's the reason behind this? What do these guys know I don't know?” I asked.

“This question is beyond me, but I can learn in five minutes. As long as you accept the sex android thing."

“I like girls, the organic ones, but I’ll rent one for you,” I said.

He texted someone on his cell phone. When he couldn't get his message back, he got angry and hugged. He could not reach the person he was looking for; he said, “We will get the answer today. Do you have any other problem?”

“I wonder if Ezgi would be interested in me."

"Your crypto seems to have risen more than you say. You should probably buy a nice weekend trip to your brother," he said.

I said, "Of course, bro, what I've spared you so far."

"Do you have the sincerity to be texting with Ezgi?" he asked.

I bowed my head in the sense of yes.

“Invite her to an attractive event, tell her you will order it. She will accept if she has the intention."

His suggestion seemed reasonable, so I was mad at myself for not thinking of something so simple. We got up after we had our coffee, Serkan said there was some work to take care of, so I'd better get home.

The traffic was quieter, so I took a carriage on the way back. The giant dogs that pulled the carriage were adorable, and the feathers on their curly tails were floating in the wind. I offered Ezgi a luxury augmented reality show. I got an instant response from her like, “you're not my type.” She added a smiley emoji at the end of her message.

'But when I look at your face, I see a reflection of my own pale face,' I said to myself. Then I wondered if crypto investors discovered my literary skills. The world was an incomprehensible place.

I got a message from Serkan right after I got home. Personal cryptos were bought and sold by artificial intelligence algorithms. They didn't know what they were buying and selling. These algorithms were doing countless experiments during trading. My crypto's price rise could be related to one of these experiments. As soon as I read the message, I checked the price of my personal crypto. Unfortunately, the price has fallen to its original level. I asked ‘why I sold five percent' to myself. I could sell ten percent, twenty percent, or fifty percent instead of five percent. I remembered the speeches I gave to my family about the acceptance of fate. I checked the crypto price in the hope that it will rise again.

Of course, the price didn't rise again, and I bought a mobile life support unit for my father with the money I had. For the first time in days, we went out as a family. My mother was smiling while we took a trip to Kadikoy on the airship pulled by albatross. The best thing money could buy the peace in the house.
