Water Supply Pipeline for Pig Farm. Start/ Conductora para al abasto de agua Granja Porcina. Inicio.

Good afternoon, StemSocial and Hive.

​We are moving forward with a new project. In fact, we have received requests for about 12 projects that we will be carrying out based on investment priority. In this case, we have been urgently requested to design a new water pipeline to supply a pig farm known as Unit 14.

​In an interview with the unit’s management and the investor, we set out from the following initial conditions:

  • ​The pig farm has a total production capacity of:

Animal CategoryQuantity (units)

Piglets 3,400 U
Nursery 4,000 U

  • This production unit demands between 230 and 300 Cubic meters of water daily. Currently, the farm is supplied through a self-managed system consisting of a rustic dam/reservoir, a pumping station, and a 200 mm (8'') cast iron (HoFo) main pipeline that carries water to a ground-level tank located near the farm. Previously, there was a system featuring a floating pumping station in the Nuevo Mundo reservoir that pumped water to this same tank, but that system no longer exists. Naturally, that option provided a much reliable supply source than the current one.

Premises

  • ​At the investor's request: It is stipulated that the main pipeline must be completely new, made of HDPE (PEAD), using the Nuevo Mundo reservoir as its supply source, where the new floating pumping station will be installed.

​* The existing storage infrastructure must be utilized.

  • We already have a detailed topographic survey showing a route of approximately 2.7 km. Since pipelines are linear works, their paths can cause impacts to nature or man-made structures; in this case, based on an a priori analysis of the topography, our pipeline will cross a road and a culvert.

In essence, the project will consist of the main pipeline and a pumping station. However, due to technical considerations, we will split the two components into separate documentation.

​Seguimos ahora con un nuevo trabajo. De hecho, tenemos la solicitud de unos 12 proyectos que iremos realizando según la prioridad de la inversión. En este caso, se nos solicita de forma urgente el proyecto de una nueva conductora de agua para abastecer a una granja porcina conocida como Unidad 14.

​En entrevista con la dirección de la unidad y el inversionista, partimos de las siguientes condiciones iniciales.

  • La granja porcina, posee una capacidad productiva total de:

Reproductoras 2 500 U
Crías 3 400 U
Preceba 4 000 U

  • Esta unidad productiva, demanda diariamente entre 230 y 300 metros cúbicos de agua. Actualmente, la granja se abastece mediante un sistema realizado por gestión propia que consiste en un tranque rústico, una estación de bombeo, y una conductora de HoFo de 200 mm(8''), mediante la cual se conduce el agua hasta un tanque apoyado en las inmediaciones de la granja. Anteriormente, existía un sistema que consistía en una estación de bombeo flotante en la presa Nuevo Mundo, la cual bombeaba el agua hasta el propio tanque ya referido, sistema que actualmente no existe. Esta variante, naturalmente daba una mayor garantía de fuente de abasto que la que existe en la actualidad.

Premisas

  • A ​solicitud de la inversión: Se orienta que la conductora debe ser totalmente nueva, de PEAD, teniendo como fuente de abasto el embalse Nuevo Mundo, donde se colocará la nueva estación de bombeo flotante.
  • Se debe aprovechar la infraestructura de almacenamiento actualmente existente.

​* Se cuenta ya con el levantamiento topográfico detallado, con un trazado de aproximadamente 2,7 km. Las conductoras, al ser obras lineales, pueden generar en su trazado afectaciones a la naturaleza o a obras del propio hombre; en este caso, analizando la topografía a priori, nuestra conductora cruzará una carretera y una alcantarilla.

​* En esencia, el proyecto estará conformado por la conductora y una estación de bombeo. Sin embargo, por una cuestión técnica, dividiremos los dos componentes en documentación diferente.
