Sistema de Riego con Máquinas de Pivot Central Eléctrico. Diseño Agronómico Culminado/Irrigation System with Electric Center Pivot Machines. Agronomic Design Completed.
Buenas tardes, Hive.
Good afternoon, Hive.
The agronomic design of our irrigation machines is now complete. I leave you with a summary in the form of an image for a better look, although I will comment on a few details:
First, we have automated the process by developing a programmed Excel spreadsheet; that is how we did it for one machine, and the rest was just a matter of dragging the formulas and entering the data for the remaining machines.
In the first table, Crops to benefit, the crop that each center pivot will irrigate and their characteristics are already summarized.
Technical Part: the water consumption of each machine is definitively solved and calculated, as well as the pressure required at the pivot inlet so that the water properly reaches the very last micro-sprinkler, the length in meters, and the number of towers the machine will have.
In the tabla Irrigation regime, the Tmin and Tmax values are shown; these values are obtained from the maximum and minimum speed data provided by the machine manufacturer, respectively. For this case, 0.5 m/h and 4.2 m/h. It is within this speed range that the machine is regulated to rotate.
The irrigation depths to be applied to the crop for those speeds are also presented here, meaning the water depth in millimeters supplied to the soil. The faster the machine moves, the less water depth will be applied, and vice versa.
Technical irrigation table: finally, the radius of the machine is presented, the amount of water each machine will consume in L/s, and, very importantly, the water pressure supplied by the pump at the inlet, which is slightly higher than required, which is a positive thing.
Now, we are just left with tracing and calculating the hydraulic network for each of the machines from the supply source, as well as the final parameters of the pumping equipment.
Until next time.
