Una vez concluida toda la parte gráfica, hemos terminado además el listado de materiales y actividades.

¿Qué es el listado de materiales y actividades?

Para que el lector no especializado comprenda: imaginemos que vamos a construir una vivienda; para ello, necesitamos saber con claridad qué cantidad de bloques se demandará, cantidad de cemento, acero, grava, cables para la instalación eléctrica y así todos los materiales. Por ende, el arquitecto debe, además de elaborar los planos de la vivienda, referirnos esas cantidades: este no es más que el listado al que hacemos referencia.

Se suma a ello el listado de actividades, que es en sí, lo que tendrá que hacer el albañil paso por paso para ejecutar el trabajo. Claro, existe una relacion directa entre los materiales y las actividades, mientras mas cantidade de cementos se requiera es porque la obra es mayor y por ende, será mayor la cantidad de la actividad que requiera este material, y asi sucesivamente.

Para elaborar este documento, concerniente a nuestro proyecto, se procedió de forma manual, teniendo en cuenta que la información se encuentra dispersa en varios planos. Ejemplo: los volúmenes de excavación y transporte se extrajeron de los planos de perfiles longitudinales, mientras las cantidades de enrocamiento y hormigón, de los planos de las alcantarillas. Así, se plasmó finalmente con el empleo de Microsoft Excel en formade tabla.

Con esta información ya confeccionada, estamos en proceso de elaborar el presupuesto para definir definitivamente cuánto costará ejecutar este sistema de drenaje, lo cual ya será contenido del siguiente post y con él habremos concluido este trabajo.

​Once the entire graphical phase was completed, we also finished the bill of materials and activities.

​What is the bill of materials and activities?

​To help the non-specialist reader understand: let’s imagine we are going to build a house; to do so, we need to know clearly the number of blocks required, the amount of cement, steel, gravel, cables for the electrical installation, and so on for all materials. Therefore, in addition to developing the blueprints of the house, the architect must provide us with those quantities: this is precisely the list we are referring to.

​Added to this is the list of activities, which is essentially what the mason will have to do step by step to execute the work. Of course, there is a direct relationship between materials and activities: the more cement required, the larger the project, and therefore, the greater the volume of the activity that requires this material, and so on.

​To prepare this document for our project, we proceeded manually, keeping in mind that the information is scattered across several blueprints. For example: excavation and hauling volumes were extracted from the longitudinal profile drawings, while riprap and concrete quantities were taken from the culvert plans. Thus, it was finally captured in a table format using Microsoft Excel.

​With this information already prepared, we are in the process of drafting the budget to definitively determine how much it will cost to execute this drainage system, which will be the focus of the next post, marking the conclusion of this work.
