Dear Readers, I have selected another unique topic for my todays’ post. The title that I selected is ‘World of Social Media Marketing’. In this post I have made an attempt to explore knowledge and information on the social media marketing, my aim and intension is that someone from my readers might be thinking and may be interested to enter the world of Social Media Marketing therefore the explored knowledge and information might play a guiding role and support to enter the social media market.

I am starting with simple meaning of what social media marketing actually is? Social media marketing is the type of marketing where one interacts with people, named as customers through a specific social media stage/ website, where they communicate and introduce their products for the purpose of selling, growth and further development. To make it more simple, I would say that social media marketing is a source of intermingling with public through networking to share, expose, promote and exchange thoughts, knowledge and information about any general or specific product for sale purpose. As we all know, that the advancement of technology has made it faster and easy to access the public and buyers.

Further, since last two decades, the people of the world became familiarized with a number of newly created sources of interaction such as; Facebook which started in February, 2004, LinkedIn was introduced in May, 2003, the Instagram was presented in October 2010, the Twitter arrived in March 2006 and You Tube became famous among the people in 2005. The most recent among these is the TikTok which landed in 2016. All these new sources and means of social interactions really brought a tremendous change not only in the lives of the people but also brought a drastic change and advancement in the world of business and marketing.

The social media marketing, currently is fully dependent and targeted to these newly introduced platforms which has really played a significant role in the field of accessibility, approachability and convenience in the best and simplistic forms. The offered platforms provide excellent opportunities of interactions and communications where people get in-touch with each other 24 hours. The social media has four prominent mechanisms which include; networking, listening to each other, influencing target audience and selling of products through social interactions.

As per my search and interaction with few of the businessman and merchants on the benefits of social media marketing, I have been informed that the people (businessman & merchants) has so far experienced a positive and productive effects of social media in the field of marketing, in the current decades and they are of the opinion that the social media marketing is more advantageous then other sources. The visual aspects of social media and the behaviors have made it categorically unique.

Secondly, the merchants and the businessman think that in social media marketing one can build its own brand and introduce and sale as per his convenience, it helps to build your brand loyalty as well. On my question regarding the best and most famous platform for social media marketing, the businessman and merchants replied that mostly they are familiar with You Tube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter which they usually use for social interactions to market their brands and products.

In view of the above details, as I mentioned in the beginning of my write-up that I am trying to explore knowledge and information for my viewers with the aim that someone might be interested to jump in the field of social media marketing to interact and communicate with individuals, companies and general audience to introduce and market their products in an easy way and method. Therefore, I would definitely share some tips to support the entry process.

For example; One need to understand its own product, its reliability and quality as well as should have ample knowledge about it and then struggle to identify the suitable audience and buyers, but before this, the crucial action is that one must outline its goal and the performance indicators secondly, make full efforts to utilize all available platforms and describe and share the related and appropriate content/ write-up and information on regular basis on the available platforms, this action will keep you in-touch with your audience and followers, thirdly, always try to sustain and preserve professional attitude and behavior with your audience and followers, this action will not only keep you on the track but it will also attract your audience and buyers and will keep them alert and waiting for your new and up-coming arrivals/ products.

Last but not the least, I have come to the conclusion that the social media marketing is advantageous for promoting, developing, advancing and growing the business, although I am also confident to share that there are dis-advantages as well and the most up-front dis-advantage is that it is time consuming, one has to put strong efforts, appropriate/ required time and essential money, secondly, it appears extremely difficult to measure efforts on the social media and the last one is the limitation to and dependency on social media. I think the dis-advantages are not that much dis-hearting or disturbing, those are manageable and I strongly believe that one should always be able and prepared to convert the challenges in to advantages and it is quite possible.
