One Car Per Family
The number of cars plying roads across the globe is disturbing. This may seem harsh but it is the truth. World record shows that the disturbing amount of air pollution which is causing global warming and the leakage in ozone layer is caused majorly by combustion from vehicles. This is why I will support the initiative that the number of vehicles owned by a family should be restricted to one. Though, this may sound harsh to some people because of the luxury they enjoy owning more than a car at a time.
It may have some sequences though but the effects may not be as dangerous as putting humanity at risk.
One car per family is an environmentally friendly policy that will aid the safety of our atmosphere which has been plagued by airborne diseases that have endangered the lives of people over the years.
The aspect of traffic jams in major cities across the world will be reduced to the nearest minimum. For example, the number of vehicles in Lagos Nigeria is typically disturbing, yet we have people who still want to purchase new cars. This is why the rate of traffic jams in cities like Lagos can be terrifying. It has also made running errands in Lagos and other major cities more expensive.
Have you ever considered that in Africa, people tend to drift towards acquiring cars because the tax that the government places on it isn't much. Elsewhere in the USA, UK and across Europe, there might be no need to have more than one or at most two cars because of the high level of taxation the government places on it.
One car per family will help families to share responsibilities and enjoy cordial communication through schedules on who, when and where the car at their disposal will be used. It promotes a sense of teamwork among family members. It is on record that families across the world are living world apart despite the availability of social media platforms. For families that live together, the agenda of driving one car per family will help foster the communication gap that has been created by our busy nature.

On the other hand, having just one car per family can cause wear and tear for the car since it is driven by everyone. The idea of maintaining a car is usually the responsibility of the owner but when it becomes what is owned and used by many people, the care-free attitude.may set in, thereby making no one's business in particular, which will affect the car over time.
In families where everyone wants to feel entitled to usage of the car, conflict may arise in the process which may cause disunity in the family. Resentment may set in and before you know it, a once united family may be turned into shreds.
Catching up with appointments, schedules and meetings may become.difficult when the car is not at the disposal of the one who needs it for this purpose.
If the purpose of maintaining or enacting the one car per family policy is to reduce traffic congestion, then we are only going to make it bad because public transport will become the next agenda to fix the gap already created by the one car per family policy.
And if we are enacting this rule be side we want to promote an environmental friendly policy, then we should begin to support the millennial agenda of producing vehicles that run without fossil fuels.

I strongly recommend the vehicles that run without fossil fuels as they are cheaper in the long run and also help preserve our environment.
Same here. The only challenger may have is that nations that depends on extraction, production and sale of petroleum products may never support the agenda even though it is an environmental friendly initiative
This is so true.
The issue has its advantages and disadvantages but I think the advantage outweigh the disadvantage.
I enjoyed reading.
Thanks for your sincere response.
I agree that this regulation be put in place, one vehicle per household is enough. People should look for alternative means of transportation, such as sharing transportation with neighbors, or getting around using a bicycle or skateboard. There are alternatives. Also using vehicles that do not pollute, perhaps electric vehicles or vehicles with biodegradable fuels.
There are solutions...another idea is to educate people not to pollute the environment, and I think that mainly with that you can make a difference.
Well said. We need to think about a safe environment for all, as such, vehicles that run on fossil fuel should begin to leave our market space and road. The family should make do with one car at a time to reduce congestion.
