Monitor Lizard is a species of reptile belonging to the family Varanidae. It is not a snake but a lizard. There are many of them in our area. I saw this when I was sitting by the pond observing nature. It was swimming in the pond.

It is a lizard that can live in water and on land, so it is an amphibian. It uses its legs and tail when it swims in the water. From the other side of the pond went very easily. Knows swimming very well.

They can hunt and eat in the water. Fish hunt and swallow their favorite food. Their food is both in water and on land. Many people in our area raise chickens and let them roam free. Baby chicks are monitor lizards' favorite food. That's why chicken owners consider monitor lizards to be enemies.

It is a timid animal and flees quickly because it is afraid of humans. The monitor lizard saw me and ran away. Then I took the picture.

Monitor lizards have venom. They use this venom in hunting. Their venom is mild on humans. I have never seen a human die from monitor lizard venom. The biggest thing is that it is very afraid of people.

It has two legs with which it moves on the ground. The legs help him to stick to the ground and help him to escape. I fear the monitor lizard and he fears me, Ha Ha Ha.
