Colors of Nature

Last night we were surprised by the sound of thunder. It was raining heavily, luckily not for very long, but it was accompanied by that thunder that sounded like it was a heavy summer storm.

Not long after, we saw news that central Spain was gripped by snow, ice and cold. In some provinces, this made traffic difficult and caused several hours of traffic jams. Snow is not an everyday occurrence in Spain, if we don't take into account the mountains. Judging by the news, the culprit for this cold wave is a storm named Juan.

He didn't stay for a long time at our place... This morning was already sunny and perfect for a longer walk, what we gladly did, although the wind was in some moments strong. That walk was so bright and nice that it made us perceive the charm that our surrounding contains.

We better start to listen to nature and remember to preserve its beauty. To take care of it and behave more responsibly, when we think about using resources from nature. Even though our planet lives at its own pace, it would be a shame to close our eyes to its wonders.

To its colours.

Art - it is a perfect way to remind us about these beauties. At the end of November there was a small exhibition in one of the halls in the Cultural Center. The exhibition of paintings was named Pequeñas Historias (Little Stories) and it showcased the paintings of Julia Serrano, Pepa Vázquez, Pepi Martínez, Carmela García, Bippan Norberg, María J. Kaspers, Alfonso Guillén, Olga Eva Reinoso among others.

Some of the paintings included in their scenes the sea, the sun and people. Thinking, talking, riding a bike, doing things I also like to do by the sea. I will be waiting for these summer vibes...

We see that the sea was represented in many paintings. But it is so understandable, as it brings inspiration. It is also a mass of water that we can see every day, it is involved in our everyday lives.

Paintings by Alfonso Guillén

There were three paintings in one section where the vibrant colors of the rising sun dominated. Animal silhouettes were also represented in all three paintings. The one with the giraffes reminded me of Africa, and indeed, that's the name of it.

Colours are all around, and those that give us nature are the perfect ones. Though these paintings also tried to bring those colours, in a quite nice way. The three paintings by Bippan Norberg brought yellow, green and purple in this section of the exposition.

In our walk today we also spotted the first flowers in almond trees. They are starting to bloom at the end of January and up in the mountains there are whole fields, full of almond trees. That is so cool to see, the hills look like covered with snow, but actually, those are the flowers of almond trees.

"4 en 1" de Alfonso Guillén ("4 in 1" by Alfonso Guillén)

In this composition, 4 in 1, the artist has managed to bring us the warmth of spring and summer through its countryside scenes. The truth is that we saw many orange trees today with their fruits, so I would add that scene too, but I was just a bystander in this exposition and not a painter.

Uffff all a beauty friend, what good paintings, extremely attractive. Where the giraffes are, I love them, also the ones of "Thinking in a blue sea" and "Near a blue sea" by Pepa Vazquez.

These works are truly joyful. The vibrant colors and the naivety in each of them make them pleasing to the eye of any viewer. The 3 by Bippan Norberg are my favorites. Happy weekend.

These Bippan Norberg's paintings are cool, you can almost touch the fields. {Each one has a price of 150 euros.}

Sorry @mipiano for the delay in answering this comment.

...you can almost touch the fields..

In the photos I thought I saw that the artist uses elements to give texture to his work (they look like pieces of corrugated cardboard), I love that resource.

...Each one has a price of 150 euros.

It seems to me a very good price, but I don't know if for your reality and context it is. Is it a good price according to your opinion?

Uh, I don't know the prices of paintings. But I think 150 euros is not much for a painting like this, as the artist needed time, inspiration, material and skills to create it. And they are indeed nice ;)

Sorry @mipiano for the delay in answering this comment.

No pasa nada, it is fine. I also had busy days... (I wish that "I had" is indeed just past but... 😂 there is always something, I mean no day of rest lol

My favourites are those of Bippan Norberg, and then "4 in 1", but there is something in Pepa Vázquez's paintings that connect me very much with my reality and my desire to visit a place... the sea, of course, that is not far from me, and yet I have distanced myself from it. 😉

It is not easy to create such paintings, the artist who works hard, spends time, and then these beautiful things are produced, which we are very happy to see.

Beautiful paintings, you bring us such a great exhibit. The Africa themed ones with the animal silhouettes in the sunset are amazing. I'm a sucker for a good sunset, a big fan of the 4 flower fields too, I love to hang out in sunflower fields and I dream of the lavender ones! You certainly found a gem and covered it well, thank you for sharing! xox

I love the sunflower fields, late summer always reminds me of sunflowers, and vice versa. Last year we got to see some lavender fields in France, it was so cool. Purple fields!!

What a beautiful exhibition, I always love the pictures of the sea because it is true that they give a lot of inspiration and the ones with almond trees are very beautiful. Nature sometimes warns that it is being treated badly. I hope humans realise this.

I loved it @mipiano!❤️

Almond tree - we are going this afternoon to the mountain, I will check if the trees are blooming already, but I think it is still early. They just started.

Painting is your field - so I hope the paintings were to your liking ;)
