Bladeless Wind Turbines.
(Edited)
Katrick Technologies (from Glasgow) has developed a new type of wind turbine, hexagonal in shape, in which there are no spinning blades and instead oscillating aerofoils behave like a flag in the wind, thus generating electricity.
This solution has many advantages, the most important being the ability to operate in much lower winds than classic turbines. They generate much less noise and are much safer for birds and other animals. They are not as vulnerable to damage in strong winds and can be safely operated in cities, along roads, airports or on private properties. On the disadvantages, it is necessary to mention the lower efficiency of such turbines, but they will work even in winds where classic turbines will not even move.

Very ingenious.
It looks friendlier than those giant windmills.
It doesn't look like a very capable device.
I wonder if it will become widespread?
Very interesting design.
wow this is really cool!
