From what I researched, it is in-phase synchronization. Each metronome imparts a small force to the platform, but the platform oscillates with the sum of all these forces, so they push each other into sync.
Each metronome gives some of its power to the system. The system divides its power on the metronomes equally so any excess power will be given from one metronome to the platform to other metronomes until there's no difference in power between them.
Let me see if I got this... Is this about these handles starting to move in sync with each other after a while? What's the theory behind it?
