AI Devices are Upon Us

Hello friends, it's another lovely Tuesday and I am happy to share with you my experience with my young tech friends. Today, one of my students submitted a a beautiful art piece which left the art tutor surprised at her level of expertise. While probing her, we discovered she used an AI-powered app in her phone. It wasn't a sophisticated app, it was inbuilt by the smartphone providers, yes, many smartphone giants are incorporating AI apps at default, some of of which contain more than two - AI camera, Chabot, etc. We can say that smartphones to be come AI devices.

The era of artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept reserved for sci-fi novels and futuristic movies; it's here, now, and rapidly becoming an integral part of our daily lives. From smart assistants to self-driving cars, AI devices are transforming the way we live, work, and interact with the world around us. With the "commonization" of AI integration in household and simple devices, in the coming years, the use of AI devices would become a basic necessity.

AI making Photography and Video merrier

Remember the experience with my student. AI has significantly improved smartphone photography. Modern smartphones use AI to automatically adjust settings like exposure, focus, and color balance to capture the best possible photo. Features such as scene recognition and portrait mode rely on AI to identify objects and enhance images. Additionally, AI-driven video stabilization ensures smoother, professional-looking videos, even in challenging conditions.

Everyday AI Assistants are here

Think the smartphone in your pocket. With voice-activated assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, AI has already become our daily companion. These intelligent systems can answer questions, manage our schedules, control smart home devices, and even engage in casual conversation. They're not just tools but virtual companions, learning and adapting to our preferences over time.

Smart Homes are Possible too

Beyond smartphones, Smart Homes are now possible too. AI has also found its way into our homes, making them smarter and more efficient. We now have smart thermostats, security cameras, and appliances that learn our routines and preferences. These devices don't just follow commands; they anticipate needs, making decisions that enhance comfort and security.

Device Security and Privacy is Enhanced with AI

AI is playing a crucial role in smartphone security. Facial recognition and fingerprint sensors use AI algorithms to provide secure and convenient access to devices. AI also helps detect and prevent fraud by identifying suspicious activity and potential threats in real time, protecting user data and privacy.

So far, AI smartphone integration is throwing up some unusual collaborations between competitors. As at July 1, dailyai reported that tech giants like Apple, Samsung, Google, and Microsoft are investing heavily in AI research and development. This will likely involve unlikely cross-company collaborations, though It could create a confusing situation for buyers loyal to any one brand. Indeed, the era of the ‘AI device’ is thoroughly upon us.
