These days, anyone who isn't concerned about digital security is behind the times, and that can lead to big problems. Everything we do these days somehow involves technology, and our data, as well as its security, can be compromised if we're not careful. It's imperative that we pay attention to this.

I went through a situation in which my digital security was compromised: one of my social networks was hacked. I'm not very attached to my social media profiles, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. I had some contacts that I was unlikely to be able to recover, as well as the inconvenience of having some personal conversations possibly leaked if the hacker had malicious intentions.

At the time, I wasn't very tech-savvy. To be honest, few people knew about this new era that was emerging, everything was still new. I don't remember exactly what I did to compromise my digital security, but I probably made some stupid mistake that I wouldn't make today. While people were still adapting to this new way of life, there were already others committed to hacking, stealing data and whatever else was available and I was a victim, but it wasn't a bad thing, as it was an awakening to a new me.

After that situation, the fear of making the same mistake again encouraged me to study and seek more knowledge in the technological field. One thing led to another and, not by chance, today I'm part of web3. This curiosity to learn more has led me down paths I never imagined. Because of this, I believe that this uncomfortable event was a necessary trigger for me to seek knowledge, adding value to my way of seeing the world from a more technological perspective.

Today I know that there are various types of social engineering attacks and, even though hackers are clever at getting what they want through their tricks, I am very cautious about the way I surf the internet and I am always wary of email links, among others. What's more, I'm studying Computer Science and one of the subjects is Cyber Security, so I know enough not to fall for this kind of scam again. I believe that, as technology advances, new forms of data theft and digital invasions may emerge, but, on the other hand, information is being disseminated to society and, little by little, people are becoming aware of the risks involved and taking more care.

Being on the web3, dealing with cryptocurrencies, is a test of whether I'm really aware of security. After all, here we have real values in digital wallets, and it's important to take the necessary precautions. There's no shortage of hackers trying to find loopholes to break in and take what we have, so I can say that, in this environment, it's crucial to be as careful as possible so as not to compromise our investments.

Taking a deeper look, I've come to the conclusion that an event in the past, which left me fearful about my digital security, ended up taking me down unimaginable paths. I think the consequences have been interesting, to say the least. I lost a social network, sought knowledge and discovered a world of opportunities. Perhaps, if this hadn't happened, I would have had less knowledge in this area and wouldn't have opened so many doors. As I like to say, sometimes bad things need to happen in order to wake us up to life and look for new directions.

Nos dias de hoje, quem não está preocupado com a segurança digital está atrasado, e isso pode acarretar grandes problemas. Tudo o que fazemos atualmente, de alguma forma, envolve tecnologia, e nossos dados, assim como a segurança deles, podem estar comprometidos se não tivermos cuidado. É imprescindível que fiquemos atentos a isso.

Passei por uma situação em que minha segurança digital foi comprometida: uma das minhas redes sociais foi hackeada. Eu não tenho muito apego aos meus perfis em redes sociais, mas passar por essa experiência não foi nada agradável. Eu tinha alguns contatos que dificilmente conseguiria recuperar, além do transtorno de ter algumas conversas pessoais possivelmente vazadas, caso o hacker tivesse intenções maliciosas.

Na época, eu não era muito antenado em tecnologia. Para ser sincero, poucas pessoas tinham conhecimento sobre essa nova era que estava surgindo, tudo ainda era novidade. Não me lembro ao certo o que fiz para comprometer minha segurança digital, mas provavelmente cometi algum erro idiota que hoje não cometeria. Enquanto as pessoas ainda estavam se adaptando a esse novo modo de vida, já havia outras comprometidas em hackear, roubar dados e o que mais estivesse disponível e eu fui uma vítima, porém não foi algo totalmente ruim , já que esse foi um despertar para um novo eu.

Depois dessa situação, o medo de cometer o mesmo erro novamente me incentivou a estudar e buscar mais conhecimento na área tecnológica. Uma coisa levou a outra e, não por acaso, hoje faço parte da web3. Essa curiosidade em saber mais me guiou até caminhos que eu não imaginava. Devido a isso, acredito que esse acontecimento desconfortável foi um gatilho necessário para que eu buscasse conhecimento, agregando valores à minha forma de ver o mundo de uma perspectiva mais tecnológica.

Hoje sei que existem vários tipos de ataques de engenharia social, e, mesmo que os hackers sejam espertos em conseguir o que querem através de suas artimanhas, sou muito cauteloso com a forma como navego na internet e sempre desconfio de links por e-mail, entre outros. Além disso, estou fazendo faculdade de Ciências da Computação e uma das matérias é exatamente Cyber Security, então já sei o suficiente para não cair novamente nesse tipo de golpe. Acredito que, enquanto a tecnologia avança, novas formas de roubo de dados e invasões digitais podem surgir, mas, em contrapartida, a informação está sendo disseminada para a sociedade e, aos poucos, as pessoas vão conhecendo os riscos envolvidos e tomando mais cuidados.

Estar na web3, lidando com criptomoedas, é um teste para saber se realmente estou atento à segurança. Afinal, aqui temos valores reais em carteiras digitais, e é importante tomar os devidos cuidados. Não faltam hackers tentando encontrar brechas para invadir e tomar o que temos, então posso dizer que, nesse meio, é crucial ter o máximo de atenção possível para não comprometer nossos investimentos.

Fazendo uma análise mais profunda, chego à conclusão de que um acontecimento no passado, que me deixou com medo sobre minha segurança digital, acabou me levando a caminhos inimagináveis. Acredito que as consequências foram, para dizer o mínimo, bem interessantes. Perdi uma rede social, busquei conhecimento e descobri um mundo de oportunidades. Talvez, se isso não tivesse acontecido, eu teria menos conhecimento nessa área e não teria aberto tantas portas. Como gosto de dizer, às vezes coisas ruins precisam acontecer para nos acordar para a vida e buscar novos rumos.
