Comparison

  1. Upstream:
    • Less material required.
    • More sensitive to liquefaction or seismic activity
    • Not allowed in Chile.
  2. Downstream:
    • More stable.
    • Much more material required.
  3. Centerline:
    • In between downstream and upstream.
