Amazing Giant Magnet Demonstration Showing Ferrofluid Accelerates to Edge of Magnet

Ken Wheeler has one of his best giant magnet experiments as of yet! Pouring ferrofluid on-top of a magnet shows that the tiny magnetic particles inside the ferrofluid are attracted almost solely to the top outer edge of the magnet. This shows that the magnetic "poles" and magnetism is general are a lot more nuanced than conventional "like poles attract and opposite poles repel".

Notice the perfect ring around the magnet as the ferrofluid accelerates radially outwards.

As Ken raises the glass surface containing the ferrofluid, notice how it beads up together.
