Health Tips For Your Mobile Phones And In-Apps

It's what I do, for my mobile phone and my own sake. You may have your own tips that I'll find useful but these are the ones I've learned and practiced over time and it's been a good practice for me. Our mobile phones need all the care to keep a healthy and strong life too, a friend refers to her phone as her baby and we do know how babies are cared for lol.

There may not be too much to be done for our phones to be in healthy condition but these little seem like a lot for some people, I've seen people who just have a phone for calls and nothing more so they don't bother to care for it well enough. If you use your mobile phone a whole lot, you need to care for it as much.

I'm no phone health expert, don't mind that image lol. But I tend to learn of more ways to practice in my digital life for health sake and longevity of the devices I use. I would have love to share all tips I follow on my various devices but that would take too much writing and reading in one post so I'm just going to focus on mobile phones and in-apps.

These are the ones I use a lot so I have tips guiding my use of them. They are not much tips but I thought of sharing them and also use it as a form of reminder for the ones I forget to do sometimes.

Updating apps I frequent for maximum features is a good tip, I've once using an app for months with no update and when I updated it, it felt like I've been missing out on a whole lot of features added to the updated one. If you use the app a lot, a better version of it is definitely going to be better worth it. Clearing cache as often as possible helps apps work faster and better on your phone or any device, I do this almost unconsciously lol.

Rebooting or powering off my phone once in a while is another thing I take seriously for my phone care. I don't let my phone die from not being able to charge the battery but only on my own accord to just let it rest for sometime. And for this, I charge up or stop using phone at low battery when there is no way to charge up. If I think it's been a while my phone turned off, I turn it off myself or reboot it.

One tip I still struggle with but try to keep is Not sleeping off while still using your phone as I've actually witness scary outcomes from this habit. It is one of the most easiest habit to get and hard to quit but I've tried to keep this tip and the results have been really good for me. You get to sleep well and also have your phone device rest in a better state, you know what I mean lol.

Using dark themes or reducing the brightness of my phone at night is also a good tip, I prefer using dark theme and dull lights anytime of the day though. Most of the in-apps use my phone settings to work, especially the dark theme I selected and so a lot of my apps are on dark theme as well. Not many prefer this but in light mode cases, it's best to reduce brightness at night. I once turned on a friend's phone and I almost turned blind 😂

I also don't this tip as much as I should but it's important to run phone updates when it pops up so you could keep your phone in good shape and also enjoy any recent features or looks. Being careful of where you download apps from, how you keep you phone when not in use and using the right charging devices for your phone are important too.

I know there are more tips you would know that I didn't mention, I'll love to know them so I could keep my baby (phone) in good condition hehe. Do share yours in the comment section and let's interact.

Hi, @merit.ahama

Very useful and practical tips here. While we appreciate the proper sourcing of the images, the links seem to not work well, especially when you're not logged in on Ideogram. Any solution to that? Or are they AI-generated?

Notwithstanding...

Yeah, they are AI generated and the links open fine on my end maybe because I'm logged in to the app. Don't know a better to source it for others to see.

Thanks for stopping by.

That's alright. Maybe you could just say the image is AI generated in the hypertext instead. That works.

My phone is always on dark mode whether it is in the morning, afternoon or night. That part of sleeping with the phone on is just me, I will literally be feeling sleepy but still forcing myself to stay online or even watch a movie and at the end of the day I will sleep off with the video still playing and I will just wake up and see that phone battery has gone down bad. I normally update some of my apps sometimes as well but I never switch off my phone unless it goes off by itself lol. Thanks for this amazing tips.

I hope we learn and get used to letting our phones be before we sleep off 😅 it's a serious issue.

I actually like seeing my apps and phone UI up to date. It just makes me happy somehow. But then, I now have so many apps and so I only frequently update the onesie use regularly.

As for those that can blind you with their halogen light mode, their reward is in heaven

It's same case for me, just the ones I frequent are updated mostly.

Lol don't mind those people 😂
I was shocked that day.

This was talking to me in all angles…. The last time I updated was it WhatsApp or so, I had to spend another hour trying understand what it was about and I later found out the update came like 6 months ago… lmao

This is funny, an update from 6 months definitely needs another updating 😅
