A Double-Edged Sword: The Impact Of Technology On Our Lives

For everything, we tend to find the good and bad side of it. Even humans have their good and bad sides, it's how the world works so it's no surprise that technology is being questioned if it makes our lives easier or complicated. In many ways, technology is taking over so many things unlike in the past.

Our old people who lived in the era before technology may have experienced a more simpler living than we are now, some will say they prefer that time to now but we can't hide the fact that technology has helped improved our lives in ways we never thought.

Today, technology has come to the AI stage and people are worried that it might overtake their jobs if they don't try to join the trend and make these tech products submit to them. The threat will always be there but I believe everything man makes can be controlled by man.

So if we say technology makes our lives easier or complicated, it totally depends on our usage of these technologies. I've seen people and I have also used tech to my own advantage that I thank whoever was behind the creation and I've also had a stressful moment because I relied on a tech.

Life itself can be easier and can be complicated depending on how we view it from our different perspectives. It is same with technology and the impact it is having on our lives today. Like my title says, technology is a double-edged sword that can do us both good and bad but all depends on what we want from it.

How can we say no to auto vehicles and airplanes that have made our transportation easier?
How can we say no to phones and other devices that have made communication easier?
The days before technology, these things made life go very slow and simple but we can't deny that these things have come to make things faster for us. Although, many do say they would prefer the slow paced life but sadly, we can't go back to those times.

There are many who still live their lives at a slow paced level even in this fast paced world, they choose nature over the artificial help of some technology. It's a matter of choice and conviction, technology is only man-made and it's fate or impact should be decided by man too.

So if I am to answer the question, technology is making lives easier and also complicated as it does what we, humans asks it to do for us. We should appreciate the works made to make these things available for us but we should never forget we are to be in control of them and not them controlling us, that will help reduce it's complicating impact on our lives.
