Living Above Your Means: The Silent Financial Trap
From the begining of this life we have always wanted a comfortable life. It is not a wrong choice that someone wants a good phone, nice clothes, well built apartment and good education. The problem begins when someone starts spending more money than they can actually afford just to look successful. This is known as living above your means, and it is one of the silent financial traps that can keep people struggling for years.
Many people try to live above their daily income just to impress other people. This era of social media have even make things look more worse, today you see people posting expensive cars, clothes, eating in expensive restaurant and many more. They may begin to feel that they are also expected to live the same way. Instead of focusing on their own financial situation, they spend money trying to prove that they are doing well.
Another problem that is eating some people deep is that they earn peanut as their salary but they end up borrowing loans to live a big lifestyle. At first, the person may feel happy because they have what they wanted. However, the monthly repayments can become a heavy burden. A person can therefore look wealthy on the outside while struggling to pay basic bills behind the scenes.
When we live above our earnings it makes it hard to have a wealthy life in feature. Money that is supposed to be saved and use to start a big business are used to buy temporary things like wristwatch, clothes that will not add up any profit to your account. Over time, this can leave a person with little or nothing to fall back on when an emergency happens.
The solution to all this thing is for us to figure out what is supposed to be useful to us in terms of bringing in income when we purchase it. Before buying something expensive, ask yourself whether you can comfortably afford it without creating financial problems. It is also important to create a budget and live according to your actual income.
We should know that real wealth is not visible things which we can see. Someone owns a business, investment and drives a cheap car is far better than someone who drives a luxury car purchased through loan.
Being financially stable is not measured by what the person wears or the kind of car he drives. Looking rich is easy, but becoming financially stable requires discipline, patience, and good decisions. The goal should not be to impress people today while suffering tomorrow. Financial freedom is when you live a life which you can afford and not living under loans and debts.
