Hola Amigos de Geek Zone ¿Cómo están? Espero que estén super bien y sean bienvenidos a una nueva publicación hecha por mí. Hoy les quiero contar una historia bastante graciosa sobre un componente de computadora que compré el año pasado, pero que jamás usé por cosas de fuerza mayor jaja, el componente en cuestión es una fuente de poder, ya saben uno de los componentes más importantes que tiene una PC.
La fuente de poder es un aparato que suministra energía a los demás componentes de la computadora, en ella aparecen un montón de cables y conectores que sirve para cada uno de los componentes como la placa madre, las unidades de almacenamiento, el lector de DVD, aunque ya nadie usa ese lecto jaja, entre otras cosas. El año pasado compre una Fuente de Poder de buena calidad de marca Nexcom en una tienda que queda cerca del centro de mi ciudad.
La Fuente de poder por lo que me han contado es buena, varios amigos la tienen, es de cobre certificada y tiene distintos conectores, por ejemplo, el de la placa madre claro, los de la unidad de almacenamiento, e incluso varios conectores más en caso de tener ventiladores con RGB, una locura jaja, los conectores se caracterizan por ser negros con detalles rojos y amarillos, este componente me costó 25$ en aquel momento, era una buena inversión, pero la cosa se complica.
¿Por qué necesitaba de una nueva fuente de poder? La respuesta es simple, necesitaba una nueva fuente para suministrar bien la energía de mi PC por todos los componentes nuevos que le iba a colocar, por ejemplo, la tarjeta de vídeo, la tarjeta de wifi y una que otra unidad de almacenamiento que con pasar el tiempo si logré adquirir, entonces al ver que la fuente de poder de la PC era poco potente decidí buscar una nueva para evitar conflictos.
Cuando compré mi PC una de las cosas que me di cuenta que tenía una fuente de poder de apenas 480w, esa fuente de poder es muy pequeña. Posteriormente, no estaba seguro si esa fuente lograría soportar todo lo que le quería colocar a la PC, en ese momento no estuve muy seguro así que la fuente tenía que llegar si o si, para evitar problemas con la energía, por si fuera poco, en mi casa siempre hay problemas con el servicio eléctrico jaja.
En fin, luego de describir un poco sobre lo que quería hacer y de describir les cómo es la fuente de poder, ahora toca hablar de lo que sucedió, pasaron dos cosas, la primera es que el conector de la fuente para la placa no era igual, es más algunos pines eran completamente distintos, para que se hagan una idea el conector de la fuente tenía más pines de los que la placa madre aceptaba, esa era mi primera complicación.
Dicho esto, debía comprar si o si un adaptador para no echar a perder lo que era la conexión entre la placa y la fuente y así evitar una catástrofe, me puse en contacto con gente que posee el adaptador y me puse a ello, pero es aquí cuando descubrimos otro problema y es que el gabinete de mi PC sólo cabía su fuente de poder original, bueno, mejor dicho, era tan pequeño que sólo aceptaba el tamaño de la fuente de poder genérica jaja.
El gabinete de mi computadora es un modelo antiguo, lo podemos notar porque la fuente de poder va en la zona de arriba, al querer sacar la fuente de poder nos dimos cuenta de eso, de la forma, era muy pequeña, lo sacamos y decidí colocar la fuente de Nexcom y lamentablemente no cabía en el gabinete jaja.
Por lo tanto, sólo me quedaba dos opciones, o cortaba la parte que me estorbaba del gabinete para colocar la nueva fuente de poder con el riesgo de que se vea feo y que se dañe la Pc, o dejarlo así, guardar la fuente de poder nueva para cuando me arme una Pc mejor en un futuro y eso fue lo que hice. Ahora sólo me falta toda la PC entera, pero vamos Bien jaja.
Sin mencionar que necesitaba el adaptador para la tarjeta madre, todo mal. La fuente de poder es muy importante para una computadora y más aún si tiene mejor potencia y trato con la energía, en este caso por culpa de no percatarme de los pines de la forma de la fuente la tuve que quitar de mi habitación y guardarla por un tiempo.
Al final con la fuente de poder que venía por defecto logró suministrar la suficiente energía a todos los componentes que le coloque a la Pc, menos mal jaja, así la he estado usando durante más de un 1 año y afortunadamente nada malo ha pasado, en conclusión, nunca compren una fuente de poder sin informarse jaja.
Bueno Amigos de Geek Zone, esa es la pequeña anécdota de esta fuente de Poder, para que se vayan felices esta fuente la probé en casa de un amigo en una PC con una placa que si aceptaba su conector y la fuente logró suministra la energía de esa computadora y encendió con normalidad, ahora tengo que ver que haré con ella en los próximos meses.

Why did I need a new power supply? The answer is simple, I needed a new power supply to supply well the energy of my PC for all the new components that I was going to place, for example, the video card, the wifi card, and one or another storage unit that with time I managed to acquire, then seeing that the power supply of the PC was not very powerful I decided to look for a new one to avoid conflicts.
When I bought my PC one of the things I realized was that it had a power supply of only 480w, that power supply is very small. The cabinet of my computer is an old model, we can notice it because the power supply goes in the top area, when we wanted to remove the power supply we realized that, the shape, it was very small, we took it out and I decided to place the Nexcom power supply and unfortunately it did not fit in the cabinet haha.
Therefore, I only had two options left, or cut the part of the cabinet that was in my way to place the new power supply with the risk of it looking ugly and damaging the PC, or leave it like that, save the new power supply for when I build a better PC in the future and that's what I did. Now I just need the whole PC, but I'm fine haha.
Not to mention I needed the adapter for the motherboard, all wrong. The power supply is very important for a computer and even more so if it has better power and energy deal, in this case, because of not notice the pins in the shape of the power supply I had to remove it from my room and put it away for a while.
In the end, the power supply that came by default managed to supply enough power to all components that I put into the PC, thank goodness haha, so I've been using it for over a year and fortunately nothing bad has happened, in conclusion, never buy a power supply without informing haha.
