Hola Amigos de Geek Zone ¿Cómo están? Espero que estén super bien y sean bienvenidos a una publicación hecha por mí. Hoy les comparto una nueva cosa que llegó está semana a mi casa, es un artefacto que desde hace un año necesitaba para aprovechar de la mejor manera mi velocidad de internet, un objetivo importante para la transmisión de señal de redes y datos, para no tener que usar los megas del tlf cuando voy al baño jaja.
Así es, esta semana mi familia y yo invertimos en un nuevo router, un router con velocidades de a hasta 1GB de latencia, o al menos eso es lo que decía en la caña jaja, para el que no sepa que es un router se lo explicaré de una forma muy bestia jaja, un router es un artefacto que transmite los datos del servicio del internet (modem) y los convierte en Wifi, así puedes usar el internet de tu casa, sin necesidad de un cable.
Les explico brevemente el contexto, hace un par de meses había tenido problemas con la velocidad de internet, el plan digamos que era de 30MB de latencia, en mi PC y en otros dispositivos sólo llegaba a 8MB, muy bajo considerando el pago que hacía por dicho plan, lo primero que hicimos fue cambiar nuestro servicio de internet por uno mejor, ya que pensábamos que era la compañía que no estaba dando la talla del contrato.
Una vez que cambiamos de servicio a uno que es “mejor” notamos que la velocidad en mi PC y en otros dispositivos de la casa daban los mismo 8MB de latencia, en este punto estábamos super confundidos ya que no entendíamos que cosa estaba pasando, hasta que decidí enchufar mi PC directamente al modem del internet por medio de cable y resulta que ahora si me estaba dando los megas de velocidad correspondientes.
En cambio, cuando enchufaba mi PC por medio de cable también mediante al Router que estábamos usando antes me di cuenta que la velocidad era muy baja y mi familia y yo llegamos a la conclusión que el servicio no era el problema, el problema era nuestro dispositivo de wifi que ya no daba la talla, lo cual es curioso porque el año pasado y parte de este año si me daba la velocidad que correspondía.
La teoría que yo tengo es que el viejo router se le tuvo que dañar un o varios componentes internos para que ya no diera la velocidad que antes podía proporcionar, eso sin mencionar que ese dispositivo tenía más de 10 años con nosotros. Entonces tocó comprar uno nuevo, este nuevo router tenía que ser 5 veces mejor que el anterior y por eso decidimos comprar uno que por su diseño me gustó bastante.
Este modelo es de la marca Mercusys, no sé si es una marca internacional o que, pero lo bueno es que tiene su propia página web para configurar las redes de Wifi del dispositivo, el modelo en especifico se llama AC 1200, honestamente no sé mucho sobre routers ni tampoco sobre como se distribuye la conexión Wifi, lo único que les puedo comentar es que este router tiene la capacidad de tener dos redes wifi, una de 2.4GHZ y la otra más potente con 5GHZ.
La experiencia de la compra fue un poco aburrida ya que decidimos pagar por un servicio de delivery a casa, lo más curioso es que la tienda dijo que iba a venir un chamo de mi edad, al final resultó ser una mujer que me costó reconocer a la distancia, pero bueno lo importante es que obtuve el router en mis manos, en total nos costó casi 50$, pero la neta que si fue una buena compra.
Lo que más me gustó de este proceso fue el abrir la caja y mirarlo por primera vez, entre algunas cosas que tenía la caja incluía el cable de la fuente de poder por supuesto y un cable de internet que me gustó un poco por su característico color amarillo, pero lo malo es que resultó ser un poco corto así que tuvimos que usar el mismo que se usaba antes.
Sin duda alguna lo que más gustó fue ver el router nuevo y con ese diseño tan característico, yo lo bauticé como “la araña”, su material era tan fino que pensé que si lo apretaba un poco lo iba a romper, por eso a la hora de sacar las fotos traté de ser lo más cuidadoso posible ya que tenía mucha presión encima cuando agarraba esta belleza con una sola mano jaja, lo único fastidioso fue quitarles los papeles de protección de las antenas.
Posteriormente, procedimos con la instalación, este modelo de Mercusys tiene 4 antenas, las cuales las movimos ubicando cada rincón de la casa importante, la potencia de las antenas era tan buena que hasta en el baño con la puerta cerrada puedes usar el wifi del teléfono sin ningún problema y con buena velocidad jaja, y eso que el baño queda al otro lado de la casa, lejos de mi habitación donde está la instalación.
Por otra parte, leímos las instrucciones de instalación, conectamos el router al internet y ahora tocaba la prueba final tanto en la computadora como en los teléfonos, probar la velocidad, así pues, la velocidad logró llegar a los 30MB correspondientes en el Wifi estando pegado al dispositivo, mientras que en mi PC por alguna razón no pasaba de los 28MB pero bueno al menos no tengo lag jaja, probamos cada rincón de la casa y en promedio la velocidad era entre 15MB hasta 25MB dependiendo de la zona donde estemos en la casa.
Por último, en la pagina oficial de Mercusys le instalamos las cosas, los drivers y las diferentes redes, como dije se pueden instalar dos, una de 2.4GHZ y la otra más potente con 5GHZ, pero en este caso decidimos hacer solo una con la máxima potencia, aunque pensándolo bien cuando lleguen invitados sería buena idea hacer otra red para sólo ellos con menor potencia jaja, soy muy cruel, en la pagina se tiene que hacer todas las configuraciones y actualizar su sistema operativo ya que este router tiene una computadora interna.
Hasta este momento que ya tengo casi un día usando el internet por medio de este router araña no habido ningún problema, creo que ahora si el wifi va a estar estable y como no va a estarlo con semejantes 4 atentas super largas jaja, cada vez que entro a mi habitación veo el router y se me viene a la mente un insecto.
Bueno Amigos de Geek Zone, espero que les haya gustado esta historia, cada semana pasa algo nuevo y los dispositivos se tienen que actualizar de vez en cuando, hoy tocó el Wifi y ahora creo que podré subir vídeos y demás contenido con mayor rapidez, estos últimos meses la velocidad no acompaño, me gusta mucho este Router sobre todo por su diseño, una pasada.

That's right, this week my family and I invested in a new router, a router with speeds up to 1GB of latency, or at least that's what it said in the cane haha, for those who do not know what a router is I will explain it in a very beastly way haha, a router is a device that transmits data from the internet service (modem) and converts them into Wifi, so you can use the internet at home, without the need for a cable.
Let me explain briefly the context, a couple of months ago I had problems with the internet speed, the plan let's say it was 30MB of latency, in my PC and other devices only reached 8MB, very low considering the payment I was making for that plan, the first thing we did was to change our internet service for a better one, as we thought it was the company that was not giving the size of the contract.
Once we switched to a "better" service we noticed that the speed on my PC and other devices in the house were giving the same 8MB of latency, at this point, we were super confused because we did not understand what was going on, until I decided to plug my PC directly to the internet modem via cable and it turns out that now it was giving me the corresponding megabytes of speed.
On the other hand, when I plugged my PC via cable also through the Router that we were using before I realized that the speed was very low and my family and I came to the conclusion that the service was not the problem, the problem was our wifi device that no longer gave the size, which is curious because last year and part of this year if I gave me the speed that corresponded.
The theory I have is that the old router had to damage one or more internal components to no longer give the speed it could provide before, not to mention that this device had more than 10 years with us. So we had to buy a new one, this new router had to be 5 times better than the old one and that's why we decided to buy one that I liked because of its design.
This model is the Mercusys brand, I do not know if it is an international brand or what, but the good thing is that it has its website to configure the Wi-Fi networks of the device, the specific model is called AC 1200, honestly I do not know much about routers nor about how the Wifi connection is distributed, the only thing I can tell you is that this router can have two wifi networks, one 2.4GHZ and the other more powerful with 5GHZ.
The purchase experience was a little boring because we decided to pay for a delivery service to our home, the most curious thing is that the store said that a guy my age was going to come, in the end, it turned out to be a woman that I had trouble recognizing from a distance, but the important thing is that I got the router in my hands, in total it cost us almost 50$, but the truth is that it was a good buy.
What I liked the most about this process was opening the box and looking at it for the first time, some things that had the box included the power supply cable of course, and an internet cable that I liked a little for its characteristic yellow color, but the bad thing is that it turned out to be a little short so we had to use the same one that was used before.
Undoubtedly what I liked the most was seeing the new router with that characteristic design, I called it "the spider", its material was so thin that I thought that if I squeezed it a little I would break it, so when taking pictures I tried to be as careful as possible because I had a lot of pressure on it when I grabbed this beauty with only one hand haha, the only annoying thing was to remove the protective papers of the antennas.
Subsequently, we proceeded with the installation, this Mercusys model has 4 antennas, which we moved them locate every important corner of the house, the power of the antennas was so good that even in the bathroom with the door closed you could use the Wi-Fi phone without any problem and with good speed haha, and that the bathroom is on the other side of the house, away from my room where the installation is.
On the other hand, we read the installation instructions, connected the router to the internet and now it was time for the final test both on the computer and on the phones, test the speed, so, the speed managed to reach 30MB corresponding to the Wifi being glued to the device, while on my PC for some reason did not go beyond 28MB but well at least I have no lag haha, we tested every corner of the house and on average the speed was between 15MB to 25MB depending on the area where we are in the house.
Finally, on the official page of Mercusys, we installed the things, the drivers, and the different networks, as I said you can install two, one of 2.4GHZ and the other more powerful with 5GHZ, but in this case, we decided to make only one with the maximum power, although thinking about it when guests arrive it would be a good idea to make another network for only them with less power haha, I am very cruel, in the page you have to make all the configurations and update your operating system since this router has an internal computer.
So far I have almost a day using the internet through this spider router there has been no problem, I think that now the wifi will be stable how not going to be with such 4 super long attentive haha, every time I enter my room I see the router and it comes to mind an insect.

Loco, en verdad si ese router viejo lo usamos por más de 10 años en mi casa, pero el bicho se la bancaba era un fiero, pero en este último tiempo nos dimos cuenta que era hora de un cambio.
Hasta el momento todo ha ido bien y el diseño es lo mejor, lo amo xd.

Yo necesito uno así porque las dos antenas del mío sufren para distribuir a toda la casa, pero la verdad es que me duele mucho el codo (se me activa lo tacaña), así que creo que esperaré que me toque cambio con el proveedor, jajajaja.
Así es, el diseño es super genial jaja, y en cuento lo ví decidí sacar todo mi bolsillo para conseguirlo y honestamente no me arrepiento.

Identificado completamente mi amigo jaja. Si te lo puedes permitir te recomiendo este modelo, mejor en cuanto a calidad y precio, es capaz de llegar a zonas remotas de la casa, mientras no vivas en una mansión. Xd
