Splinterlands Co-founder talks about future of games on Decrypt recap review.
So today I was going through my crypto news feed on Decrypt app when I saw this eye catchy headline about the future of games a kind of interview talk with splinterland Co-founder Matt Rosen and Decrypt's Kate Irwin.
I watched the video, where I was able to highlight the 3 important question Kate Irwant asked Matt I'm sure due to time constrain Matt did not talk much about splinterland but if the audience were paying close attention they will get the idea of what the future of blockchain technology is all about, there is much potential ahead of the blockchain gaming industry and splinterland will be a drive force to make this idea a reality.
Here is the interview link if you're interested in watching the full detailed video interview link
The interview started with Kate Irwin asking how splinterland as game came into idea.
Kate Irwin
So can you tell me a bit about splinterland how it evolved since it first launch?
Matt Rosen
Yeah I mean the whole concept of the game was, you know I was big trading card player I still have a lot of my older cards which are still lot of valuable collection item now............
Question one recap
Matt Rosen shares how growing up he loved the idea of card games, this idea breath about the concept of him growing up to develop a web 3 base gaming platform along with his team, he shared the idea of card game isn't just limited to holding valuable collection of item like the traditional gaming system where players are only limited to holding card collection, and the traditional gaming company making all the money from players buying card collection he iterate players should be able to make good use of those collected item into tradable assets for cash these where the driving motive behind the idea of splinterland game.
He saw the problem which was traditional gaming companies making money off players rather than players making money with their time off the game the solution was to introduce a concept for users to make money while playing for fun. Which splinterland is all about.
Kate Irwin
What are your views/perspective about crypto mass adoption?
Matt Rosen
Yeah that's been an important thing in whole crypto space not just gaming I don't care much about what things are called or what the news are saying about different things that's all noise in my own opinion,,,,,,....
Question two recap
Matt here made a lot of emphasis on blockchain use case, he sees the future potential of blockchain industry and believes in the end those project in the crypto space that provides good utility and usecase will eventually stand out in the end, people will particularly focus on the product and how it will benefit them this is where mass adoption of blockchain technology will come into play and drive more users into using the space.
Kate Irwin
Why should a game developer think of putting crypto into cryptofying their game what are some of the way crypto can make a game more unique?
Matt Rosen
I try not to just look at how do we take a game and cryptofy it, I feel like the game of the future are just going to be different........
Question three recap
Assets ownership in blockchain gaming is the real gem that make cryptofying game unique according to Matt giving people full ownership to trade their NFTS, not just literally making money for big companies but for themselves this news concept is a disruptive measure that will make the future of blockchain games unique as a whole.
Matt did incredible awesome with the interview, I'm sure there are more things to be said in the interview but I guess we all have our boundaries when it comes to saying things in the public putting splinterland out there for the general public to know they can play game online and have direct ownership of their in game asset is a mind blowing idea for gamers out there making such publicity will not just increase blockchain gaming adoption but will also introduce more users to the idea of blockchain technology.
