Secret battle mage challenge: up to eleven

avatar

Summoners! Welcome to another week of secret battle mage challenge for this week we are yet faced with another challenging task of using the amplify ruleset which gives magic reflection, thorns and return fire unit monsters plus one damaging effect on their opponent which means to take advantage of your opponent you can strategise and come up with unit monster with some special abilities.

In addition this ruleset isn't for the feeble minded as it will require even the best of best monsters combined to take down an opponent monster, this ruleset requires some plan as an opponent cannot be easily predicted, a player can choose to come up with lineup monster of choice ranging from sneak, melee, opportunity, magic, enrage and more this makes it really difficult to predict an opponent next line move in this ruleset.

Well if you don't have monsters with amplify ability worry no more as this ruleset will automatically give your lineup monster amplify ability to have additional super power of taking down your opponent, regardless splinterland game is all about strategy coming up with good formidable lineup monsters can increase your chance of surviving a battle and emerging victorious.

For this battle ruleset 31 cost mana cap was given for both players to come up with their lineup monster my opponent came up with life element monster which was also my choice for this battle ruleset combining good tank with a healing and range attack monster was my go strategy for this ruleset I took my opponent by surprise with my lineup monster as the battle lasted few rounds.

Battle lineup

DRYBONE BARBARIAN My first lineup monster for this ruleset is the DRYBONE BARBARIAN with its enrage ability which always triggers once it's been attacked by an opponent monster it can attack only from frontline position leaving behind damages with it high speed and attacking power it can take down an opponent monster with few strikes it good health and speed makes this monster suitable for a frontline tank.

SHIELDBEARER Splinterland is all about strategy this monster always comes in handy as a bait to lure other monsters to attack it leaving other lineup monster with this monster and it protective armour and health to take multiple damage from opponent monster the SHIELDBEARER doesn't attack unless in frontline position but it always serves it purpose of being a taunt monster in the arena.

VENARI CRYSTALSMITH My next lineup monster for this ruleset is a healing repair monster with range attacking from any position except when in frontline this monster will give plus three health to my tank anytime it health is affected.

PELACOR ARBALEST With my taunt monster I need not to worry much about my backline monster PELACOR ARBALEST is a range attacking monster with double strike attack it attacks an opponent frontline monsters twice causing high damage to an opponent tank.

GARGOYA SCRAPPER My backline monster is a melee monster it can only attack from when in frontline although it is placed as a cover up to shield my PELACOR ARBALEST from sneak monsters.

My strategy

My strategy was quite straightforward and simple in this ruleset I used my tank as my championing monster to decapitat my opponent with it enrage ability to take out monster with few strikes my tank attack plus attack from my double strike range monster will do alot of damage to my opponent frontline this will give my better opportunity of taking out my opponent frontline monsters easily my taunt monster on the other hand will do what's it's known for being a bait and creating open attack for my opponent monsters to concentrate on my healing repair monster will be sustaining my tank by repairing it health whenever it's damaged.

This strategy did work fine as both my lineup monster did serve their purpose in the battle arena glad my opponent did not come up with thorn or return fire unit monsters.

My opponent with their bloodlust monster seem quite intimidating at the beginning but the battle lasted five rounds as my opponent accept defeat at the end of the battle my enrage monster performed quite incredibly supported by my double strike range monster although without the taunt monster who took most of the damage my opponent would have been crown champion at the end of the battle.

Round 1 the battle arena is set its five against five this time round one did went well no monster was eliminated from both sides but lot of damage was sustained in this round which gave an opening for round two.

Round 2 my opponent tank got eliminated at second round giving me good chance of winning the battle.

Screenshot_20231201-172109_Gallery.jpg

Round 3 four against four my taunt monster is out of the arena leaving my monsters vulnerable to my opponent bloodlust snipe attacking monster with high magic attack.

Screenshot_20231201-172248_Gallery.jpg

Round 4 three of my opponent monsters eliminated in this round that a bit high no chance for my opponent.

Screenshot_20231201-172403_Gallery.jpg

Round 5 round five its four against one I don't see how my opponent will stand against my four furious monster.
