Spotted: A New Cluster of Lentinus Mushrooms

avatar

‎Last weekend, we visited my parents’ house.

‎And while the kids were running and playing outside, my hubby and I spotted something growing nearby...

‎It's a lovely cluster of mushrooms. 😍

‎Their caps are shaped like small funnels, with a dip right in the center that gives them a cute design.

‎The color is off-white and cream. And it has these short dark brown “hairs” covering the outer part of the cap.

‎Because of that, it looks unique and has become so interesting to observe.

‎When I look underneath, it has this gill-like pattern just like many common mushrooms.

‎They grew close together in a beautiful little group, looking healthy and sturdy.

‎I also checked online and I learned that this type is called Lentinus.

‎I'm so happy for this new find. 💛

‎And of course, we never touch or taste these wild mushrooms unless we are 100% sure they are safe. It’s always better to enjoy their beauty and learn about them first.

‎Until my next story...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

i loved seeing the Lentinus cluster you found, those off‑white caps with tiny dark hairs are super cute :) the way they form little funnels reminded me of the decorative borders we sometimes use in spreadsheets, which made me chuckle. its amazing how nature can be both pretty and puzzling, I wish I could spot them next time at my sister's garden. I think the gill pattern looks like a tiny comb, funnel shaped and really neat.
