Last week, my father bought a high-quality mango tree seedling at the market again, and the mango tree was planted in front of our house. This mango tree was planted and cared for quite well, but tonight my father suddenly called me to show me a cluster of white mealybugs that were clinging to the mango leaves. Just by looking at their appearance, I already felt uncomfortable and did not like the presence of these tiny insects.
These white mealybugs can suck the sap from plants, which can cause the leaves to turn yellow and dry out. Therefore, their presence should not be taken lightly and needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.
My father plans to spray these insects with pesticide to reduce their population and also protect the mango tree from other pests. I also took the opportunity to photograph this cluster of white mealybugs while they were resting on the leaves. These tiny insects appear to be covered in a waxy substance that looks like white cotton.
