Euproctis lutea

Latin NameObservation dateLocation
Euproctis luteaJanuary 09 2025Central Aceh Regency,Aceh, Indonesia

When I was sitting in front of the terrace of the house, suddenly a moth flew beside me, when it was flying I realized that this moth was very beautiful because it was brownish yellow.Luckily this moth landed on my bag so I could see and observe its beauty from close range.

I myself do not know the name of this moth, but what is certain is that I usually find this moth in bushes or on wild plants, I call it the sleeping moth because this moth always looks as if it is sleeping. Its body is covered with fine brownish yellow hairs and the hairs will cover its body and even its head which looks as if it is sleeping.

This is a wild insect, but in my opinion this moth is not as wild as other types of moths, this moth tends to be quiet and does not show any movement, so it is a little easy to approach this moth. However, it is very unfortunate that the population of this moth has decreased greatly in my area and it is very difficult to find it now.
