The Smart World Dilemma.
Well, to be honest, what I can say is technology is both a blessing and an headache. Technology has indeed make life a lot easier for us, it just looks like something somewhere is performing some sort of magic underground while we just so few things. For instance, years ago, we need to travel miles just to send a message or reach out to somebody, but today, all you just need to do is type and send, dial a number and you talk. A whole lot of things are now made easy, learning, working, shopping and all have now become so fast and easy all because of technology. You can now attend classes in the comfort of your room, learn a skill without leaving the four walls of your house, order goods without without leaving your sit, and even make money online without stressing. Just have a smartphone or system. You're good to go.
Now, that same technology that makes life easier for us can also make it complicated for us. This days, people don't really talk face-to-face anymore. Even most of the close friends we now have are online friends, whereas if anything were to happen to us, we need those that are physically present first. Today, everyone is busy pressing their phones or laptops. You find relationships ending via chats, attend family functions and see how dry it is, everyone is eating and pressing their phone. Isn't it funny how we are able to connect with lots of people online and still feel alone/lonely in the real world.
Technology also has made a lot of us lazy, we no longer want to do anything, it's good to rest and not stress, but then don't you see how much it has affect us, people no longer want to read to learn, any simple thing they've rushed to either Google or chatgpt. Even things we just need to do a bit of thinking on, we don't even want to bother, we just type it on the Internet. Instead of taking some walk to get something, we prefer to get it delivered to our doorstep, instead of exercising those legs a little to take a cab, we now order Uber to pick us up right in front of our door.
What we have fail to realize is that technology is helping us think less and depend more on it. Check online and see how people no longer have a private life, everything is now online, you can now trace and expose some people online now, since they don't have any privacy, they cook, eat, bath, dress and record everything online.
Even with all of that, we all can't deny the fact that technology has made the world a better place to live in, in so many ways. The impact of technology can be seen in our hospitals, it can be seen in our schools and even businesses. Talking about the problem now, it isn't technology itself, but how we use it. Technology is meant to simplify life, and that can only be achieved when we use it wisely, but when we misuse it, it will definitely control us.
Is technology making life easier or more complicated? Both. It all depends on who's using the phone or laptop and not the gadget itself.
