Battery-operated objects that brighten my life in not-so-good situations| Week 157

Hello my beautiful people. I join again in @galenkp's proposed weekend initiative and I loved this question and decided to develop the topic. From batteries: what is your favorite/most useful battery operated item that you personally own?

For many, many years one of the favorite items that has been observed for a long time is the use of the flashlight. It has become indispensable at home. Since they are the multiple causes that have led me to use it.

There have been many situations in my country that have forced me to use the flashlight continuously, at home we have had different brands and models. And this is due to the fact that in my country Venezuela the problems with the electrical energy is too frequent. Sometimes in the middle of the night the power goes out and the first thing I take out is the flashlight. Since I live with my mother who is 85 years old, I need to guide her in case she wants to get out of bed and go to the bathroom. I remember that the blackouts, as we call them here in Venezuela, started more than 20 years ago in a very constant way. I even remember that there were some years when there were programmed outages and I suffered a lot, because at that time we used candles and the candles melted and the light did not come and I spent money buying candles. Until I decided to buy a flashlight and it is my companion at night when the power fails. It never lacks batteries, it has four and I am aware when it starts to fail and then go to buy them and replace them or have them stored when the flashlight does not light anymore or is failing.

Who does not have a flashlight in my country Venezuela is not practical. Because they are too useful when the electricity goes out. I don't use candles anymore and they are too dangerous because a fire can happen while we sleep. And prevention is the best thing.

The flashlight has become my ally in case of power failure, I find the use of the flashlight too practical and safe. This flashlight uses 4 batteries, they are a bit expensive but I make the effort to buy them. This flashlight is so useful at home because the lights go out at night all the time and I don't need to turn them on.

In relation to other items I do not have another one that uses batteries. What I do want is to have a radio that uses batteries but that acquisition at this time in my country Venezuela is expensive. I would like the radio because if the power goes out I can be informed and also listen to music and make those uncomfortable moments more pleasant.

Here in my country, power also goes out in the same manner so torch light is also necessary here.

this actually is probably useful hehe if your lights are out due to power failure. Does it happen often there because in my country this doesn't happen too often?

I know that feeling. Searching for where you left your flashlight because the power just went off while you're in the middle of something important.
Yeah, my country experiences power outage too. Nice writing.
