Un POAP no es más que es un certificado digital de prueba de asistencia que permite conocer quién ha participado en un evento, una fiesta o ha pasado un taller o curso de postgrado, y recalcamos en la palabra evento 😀

A POAP is nothing more than a digital certificate of proof of attendance that allows you to know who has participated in an event, a party or has passed a workshop or postgraduate course, and we emphasize on the word event 😀

Como íbamos diciendo, los POAPs sirven para almacenar nuestras experiencias en la blockchain de forma descentralizada, categorizando por momentos nuestras vivencias más destacadas. También, como utilidad, sirven para desbloquear objetos, NFTs y servicios personalizables dentro y fuera de la cadena de bloques, por lo que si los unes a un evento, pudieran otorgarse muchos beneficios.

As we were saying, POAPs serve to store our experiences in the blockchain in a decentralized way, categorizing by moments our most outstanding experiences. Also, as a utility, they serve to unlock objects, NFTs and customizable services inside and outside the blockchain, so if you join them to an event, many benefits could be granted.

Yendo al grano, tomemos de ejemplo la cuenta de @theinfiltred (o sea, las imágenes son de su autoría, así también como las capturas de pantalla y la imagen principal, pero el post lo escribimos nosotros 😀) y vamos a iniciar sesión. Para ello necesitaremos una billetera compatible con la EVM (Ethereum VIrtual Machine) alias Metamask. Aclaramos también que debes iniciar con la red de Ethereum y, si estás en Cuba, con VPN.

Cutting to the chase, let's take @theinfiltred's account as an example (that is, the images are of his authorship, as well as the screenshots and the main image, but the post was written by us 😀) and let's log in. For this we'll need an EVM (Ethereum VIrtual Machine) compatible wallet a.k.a. Metamask. We also clarify that you must start with the Ethereum network and, if you are in Cuba, with VPN.

Si inicias por primera vez es MUY importante que inicies con una billetera, pero si ya tienes anclada tu cuenta de Google a ella, la billetera no te será necesaria 😏

If you are starting for the first time it is VERY important to sign in with a wallet, but if you already have your Google account linked to it, the wallet won't be necessary 😏

Tenemos un panel para ver y editar el perfil, descripción y poder visualizar y compartir nuestra dirección wallet. Más abajo están los seguidores (que él no tiene ninguno) y los POAPs que ha coleccionado (que tiene unos cuantos).

Apartando lo de la tarjeta (weCard) tenemos también opciones para mostrar nuestro QR y mintear un POAP ya disponible. Es un buen momento para recordaros de que el proceso de minteo es gratis. Pero si quieres crear tu propio POAP el proceso es súper, pero súper fácil y puedes guiarte por acá.

Ahora viene lo más curioso: el tema Momentos. Dentro de cada POAP puedes almacenar imágenes que identifican ese momento, o día que obtuviste el POAP. Esto sirve para identificar la fecha en que lo obtuviste y puedes agregarle fotografías. Pero eso no acaba ahí, al ser los POAPs coleccionables digitales no fungibles, siguen el mismo conjunto de reglas y características de los NFTs.

Now comes the most curious part: the Moments theme. Within each POAP you can store images that identify that moment, or day you got the POAP. This serves to identify the date you got it and you can add pictures to it. But it doesn't end there, as POAPs are non-fungible digital collectibles, they follow the same set of rules and characteristics of NFTs.

En español: minteas un POAP (siempre gratis) y le añades fotos dentro del mismo. ¡Simple! Pero puedes usarlo para almacenar contenido gráfico, y te recomiendo hacerlo con imágenes que cualquiera pueda ver, o sea, públicas. Si creáramos un POAP que sirva para certificar una asistencia, o incluso, como prueba, el POAP seguiría permaneciendo dentro de la cadena, para siempre, permitiendo agregar imágenes de cualquier tipo dentro de él.

In English: you mint a POAP (always free) and add pictures inside it. Simple! But you can use it to store graphic content, and I recommend you to do it with images that anyone can see, that is, public. If we were to create a POAP to certify an attendance, or even as a proof, the POAP would remain within the chain, forever, allowing you to add images of any kind within it.

Versión resumida: Si cada persona mintea su propia copia del mismo POAP, cada persona tendría un conjunto de imágenes dentro del mismo contrato que pueden usar entre sí como derecho de propiedad intelectual, siendo, la referencia, ese mismo POAP 😀

Short version: If each person mint their own copy of the same POAP, each person would have a set of images within the same contract that they can use with each other as ownership, being, the reference source, that same POAP 😀
