Blockchain for a Better Venezuela (my thoughts on how to overcome anti-democracy).

Individuals have the freedom to think, speak, and act without undue interference from the government.

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Anti-Democracy".

The issue that I write to you today is quite sensitive because the whole international community knows that Venezuela has recently had its presidential elections on July 28 and all the turmoil that has caused in the democracy of the country.

This problem has been occurring for many years. The country is subject to manipulations and changes that have been taking place since 2000.

It is a problem in which the mafias and politicians, who only look out for their own interests, have wanted to dominate all the financial arches and the entire political system, appropriating resources and not allowing them to reach the population.

This brings to the conclusion that all those of us who live in the country have suffered the consequences, having a lack of public services, of equality in terms of access to goods and services, in terms of access to food and other factors that in a democracy should really be taken into account.

So there are several problems that I want to highlight next.

Taking into account the recent elections, where the majority of the population agrees on what the results were. All the people feel frustrated because they see that the candidate for opposition was elected as the winner and, notably, all the bills of the electronic vote, which is a system, by the way, qualified as the best in the world, in Venezuela, which is anti-fraud by the characteristics it has, and it is extremely safe.

So we do not explain how, having these results, the decision that all Venezuelans make to change our future democratically, has not been respected and legitimately taken into account. So, this in a democracy is supposed to be respected.

And it is not the fact that is currently happening in Venezuela, because the regime has decided to continue in power, it has been in power for about 20 years, and the deficiencies and the sufferings that exist within the population are very large.

I believe that the changes that should be implemented so that the voices of all the people are heard is that, definitely, a bockchain system is implemented where the people, here internally in the country, can be heard and the decisions are made in an anonymous way in a consensus.

I believe that this would be an implementation definitely that would make the greatest change or the great change for the benefit of the whole country, for things to start working with transparency, seeing that through a blockchain the decisions are made and everything is exposed to the public.

You could see where the funds come from and where they go and the destination that is given to each of the things.

If the decisions were made through this decentralized way and take advantage of this technology of the blockchain to improve the lives of all the people, even the elections could be made quietly using a blockchain as in hive, where the people registered by the country, by Venezuela, without the need to give their name or without doing KYC, can exercise their right to vote and can make decisions publicly, without the need to be repressed or to be sanctioned for expressing their opinion as is currently happening in the country.

There is a great means to express yourself or to talk about these issues because it is simply resolved without repression.

You are persecuted, tortured or imprisoned simply for expressing your ideas.

It is so much so that recently a group of teenagers, more than 100 teenagers have been put under the bars unjustly imprisoned and people who have certain problems of autism and certain physical conditions that should not be put under prison.

They have been hurt, they have been left behind and they are there.

So I think this is definitely anti-democratic and the solution that I propose for this lies precisely in technology and in the chain of blocks so that by implementing this we can have a more healthy and prosperous life for all.

I hope that this can be implemented sooner rather than later and that we can all see a happy and pleasant future and lead a life in which we are productive for all society and we can build things through art, through theater, through culture, through our work and through each one of the spaces of each human being that can contribute its grain of sand to make a democratic and much better country.

Interesting proposal, the only but that I can put, is that before the vote there should be an informed population ...., and that is a utopia.

Right now the EU is trying to normalize the spying on its citizens for their "good", I would like a reverse spying: to know their emails, with whom they meet in secret, what decisions they take in those meetings, for example, to know the missing correspondence between the European Commissioner and a famous pharmaceutical company, before the recent approval of a transgenic vaccine. etc ....

A hug 🤗

All that you mention could be summarized in a blockchain, where all its transactions were made publicly, visible to everyone and where nothing can be hidden. It would simply be transparent and available to anyone. And that the decisions will be made by consensus by all those who are in the blockchain, in the same way that votes are given here, whoever agrees votes for you positively, and whoever does not, votes negatively.

Whoever has the most positive votes wins the proposal. It doesn't have much complication.

I think that model should at least be given a chance, to see how it works in the world.

Well, I did not understand the project in its full dimension. The sap running through my veins tells me that he doesn't think there is such an
opportunity.

A hug.

The possibilities are there, but whether they are carried out is another thing...you know what happens with the "executors" of these initiatives.

I liked the quotation marks, very appropriate. About the word appropriate, neither before nor after.

I don't care about the spider, let it come. I'm sure the spider with me welcomes it.

Interesting reflections dear Manclar, if we only looked at the functioning of the wallet as it is handled in the blockchain transparency would be the first element of reliability in a democracy because we would all have access to see the distribution of resources in each of the sectors that comprise society. A hug!
