In today's post I want to share with you a very special adventure I lived yesterday.

🎓 Después del Trabajo Especial de Grado… un tiempo para vivir nuevas experiencias

Hace un mes presenté mi Trabajo Especial de Grado y actualmente me encuentro esperando la entrega del título. Durante mi etapa universitaria hubo muchas cosas que quise hacer, pero por distintas circunstancias no logré concretarlas. Siempre prioricé mis exámenes, tareas y horas de estudio.

A month ago I presented my Special Degree Work and I am currently waiting for the delivery of my degree. During my time at university there were many things I wanted to do, but due to different circumstances I was not able to do them. I always prioritized my exams, homework and study hours.

Ahora, habiendo cumplido con los requisitos para convertirme en Bioanalista y con este pequeño respiro antes de comenzar a trabajar, decidí participar en una actividad organizada por estudiantes de 5to y 8vo semestre de la universidad. En esta ocasión, viajamos hasta Tacarigua, en el estado Miranda, para brindar atención a la comunidad.

Now, having fulfilled the requirements to become a Bioanalyst and with this small respite before starting work, I decided to participate in an activity organized by 5th and 8th semester students of the university. On this occasion, we traveled to Tacarigua, in the state of Miranda, to provide care to the community.

🤝 Salir de la burbuja, entrar en la realidad

Siempre ha sido muy satisfactorio para mí visitar comunidades desatendidas. Además de conocer nuevos lugares y personas, este tipo de experiencias te sacan de tu burbuja y te permiten ver realidades muy distintas a la tuya, lo cual solo puede llevarte a una cosa: agradecer.

It has always been very satisfying for me to visit underserved communities. Besides meeting new places and people, these types of experiences take you out of your bubble and allow you to see realities very different from your own, which can only lead to one thing: gratitude.

Y lo mejor es que puedes ayudar a otros con lo que sabes, y créanme, eso llena muchísimo. Estas actividades también dejan huella en muchos jóvenes. ¿Quién no ha soñado alguna vez con ser doctor, bombero o ingeniero porque lo vio en acción o porque alguien marcó su vida de forma significativa? Lo que quiero decir es que a veces, sin darnos cuenta, podemos ser una inspiración para otros. Muchos niños y adolescentes se desaniman por las circunstancias que viven, pero ver a alguien que ha logrado sus metas puede encender en ellos la chispa para luchar por las propias.

And the best part is that you can help others with what you know, and believe me, that is very fulfilling. These activities also leave an impression on many young people. Who hasn't dreamed of becoming a doctor, firefighter or engineer because they saw it in action or because someone marked their life in a significant way? What I mean is that sometimes, without realizing it, we can be an inspiration to others. Many children and teenagers are discouraged by their circumstances, but seeing someone who has achieved their goals can ignite in them the spark to strive for their own.

🌟 Dejar huella, más allá del reconocimiento

Más que buscar reconocimiento, mi mayor deseo es dejar una huella en cada niño, adolescente o adulto, mostrándoles que existe un mundo distinto y que pueden lograr lo que se propongan. Nunca dejemos de ayudar. Si tienes la oportunidad de sumar a una comunidad, hazlo.

More than seeking recognition, my greatest desire is to leave a mark on every child, teenager or adult, showing them that there is a different world and that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to. Let's never stop helping. If you have the opportunity to add to a community, do it.

Hasta aquí mi post de hoy. Agradezco profundamente a la comunidad de Tacarigua por recibirnos con tanto cariño, y a los chicos de BIOPEC por invitarme a participar y ayudarme a tachar esta experiencia tan increíble de mi lista.
