A broken use of math causes communication to stop. If someone writes and equation such as "1+2=7," everything after that will be useless. It's the same in programming: one (unexpected) error causes the program to stop or choke.

Yeah, there are some things that can continue after a "syntax" error. #Math isn't one of them.~
