This year, I am welcoming 2024 with a new mouse that I got a few days ago. It’s a replacement to my old broken mouse that’s pretty much not functional. I reckon this year, I hope this one mouse will last until next year but who knows?

I didn’t buy any brand name mouse this year and instead picked one from MINISO. This mouse promises silent click and 1500 DPI. Instead of a full body mouse this one is curved on its sides. I don’t think I would ever go back to the regular mouse out there since this one is pretty convenient to use. Other than it’s easy to use and install a mouse, what I like is that it’s not too bulky and still small enough to fit into pockets of my handbag.

Unfortunately, this one still requires a battery to run it. Instead of a AAA type battery, this mouse has an AA battery which is a lot cheaper and more easier to find than AAA. Although I still think it’s a bad idea to see a battery based mouse even in 2023. Maybe it's time for stores to only sell wireless mouse?

Why is silent clicking important?

Technically silent click isn’t important but when you’re on a conference call, a loud click of mouse can be annoying. It’s also what I love about this mouse is that the left and right click are pretty soft and it’s easy to click without having to punch it quite hard.

Another part I love is that thumb grip that just fits me. I haven’t tested it for any types of gaming but just usual use, it is convenient for long term use. When I reach the mouse, it fits to my hand and the sides are exactly fitting for my thumb. Another point is that though the roller wheel looks rough it’s actually pretty soft when scrolling.

At the stores they have several colors but soft-pink is what I was after since it doesn’t really stand out much compared to the other colors available. The pricing is actually just quite right. It falls into a medium priced mouse and not too cheap for being a mouse. Still one of the things to keep in mind is basically the durability of it. I am giving it a year estimation which is something that I rarely do especially for non-brands. But I am happy with my purchase given that it looks quite ergonomic and pretty usable.

While this year I am not aiming into any big tech purchase, I am still on the lookout for the new headphone, a smartphone, or TWS that might have caught my attention and is in my list for 2024 purchase plan. Other than that, I have not any plans and hope I also don’t need to make emergency purchases for any sort of thing.
