Science and its incompatible data on the origin of the human species

Greetings dear friends of the #HIVE platform, in this post I will focus on trying to socialize some descriptive aspects linked to the contradictions that throughout history have arisen about the origin of the human species and more specifically if we contrast the results socialized recently on fossil apes and human evolution.

Let us remember that long before the publication of Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species there were already contradictions on this controversial subject, however, after Darwin's findings, the subsequent discovery of new fossils and the beginning of new research began to provide evidence of the evolution of the human species from other species, until consolidating a scientific area that would later receive the name of Paleoanthropology.

The breaking point is that the hypothesis on the origin of the human species is not compatible with the fossil record, hence, fossil apes are often at the center of the debate, as some scientists discard their importance in the origins of the human lineage (hominids), while another group of experts confer them a stellar role in evolution.

These imprecise positions cause science to offer incompatible data on the origin of the human species, therefore, it is understandable that among experts in Paleoanthropology there are groups that are working under completely different paradigms, which is not very unlikely to occur in other fields of science.

The contradictions are of such magnitude that, in the current context, some scientific disciplines support paleoanthropology in order to promote a true reinvention of the study of the origin and evolution of the human species..

However, the truth is that, in a study entitled "Fossil apes and human evolution", researchers found that most of the stories about human origins are not compatible with the fossils we have today, and where it is inferred that living apes alone do not provide sufficient evidence to reconstruct the starting point of the human species.

It seems to me that the most accurate theory is the one that speaks of an evolution that is not linear (as shown in the famous image on the cover of your post) but rather an evolution in the form of a tree.

It would be an evolution where several species of hominids evolved independently of each other, until the most advanced managed to prosper and that is us. Other branches became extinct, as is the case of the Neanderthals.

I invite you to watch the following video that talks in more detail about this. Greetings @lupafilotaxia!
