Search Engine Wahala!

Right from the time I upgraded my kpalasa phone to a smart one many years ago, I signed up and got a Google account and have been using it till date none withstanding the emergence of other search engines, AI bots and ChatGPT.

Google is my to-go search engine and I can look up anything ranging from

  • Music
  • Videos
  • Images
  • Fashion
  • Places and locations
  • News and trending stories
  • Translation of words including
  • Words and their meanings both (new ones, familiar and unfamiliar ones, plus synonyms, antonyms, applications). This I do especially whenever I'm reading or writing blogs, stories or other stuffs.

The regular topic I search on Google is news as the history in this photo shows. News ranging from local, international, technology, politics, anything news. You may wonder why news. Well, aside from the normal threading that I do on INLEO, I also put up the #newsonleo threadcast so I need to do these searches to get news contents which I can use to build up the threadcast.

By building up the threadcast with different types of news contents, users can be informed with what is happening around the world even as they thread. That means most of the news you see on other platforms social are on threads too. Not only that, it's another way of supplying data for the LeoAI which we expect to go live in the future. That's the next big thing coming up on INLEO and the team is working on it.

Before I got this particular search history, I had to overhaul my Google account because it wasn't googling as it should, lol. It was as if I'm head dey knock 🤣. Initially when I didn't get anything from the search. I was kinda confused because it was supposed to appear once I type any word.
I then logged in to my account, went to Activity, hoping to find it there, whosai. Infact, it even worsened the whole thing. See what Google showed me, "my history search", all the topics were no where to be found.

At a point I had to ask @princessbusayo how she got hers. I did same thing she told me, no way.

It was when I asked the reason I was getting results for such off topics that this one showed up, and it was from Google Chrome. Shebi una see how this Google dey whine me 🤣.

Seriously, this search stressed me that I almost gave up. I just couldn't understand why the exact contents I've searched for on Google weren't showing up. Could it be that I wasn't doing it right or was using a different Google? Maybe mine is Googel, hehehe.

Navigating Google search engine for all your answers won't give you what you want especially if you are looking for a particular niche. You might need to search up YouTube for video related things or search up the nitch in itself which can be very tasking. When someone says they are doing a research on Google, just know it's not an easy something

Yeah, Google always redirect me to YouTube when it's about music or a website for the content I'm searching for.
It's not so easy, I tell you but we'll still have to use it,anyhow.
