Mono Tracks - PhotoFeed Contest Black and White Photography 159

Overtime, I've noticed that objects take on a certain charm when captured in black and white. A glimpse at a monochrome masterpiece would hold you spellbound. Heck, they always look stunning, just timeless!

I don't know about others, but this is how I feel about black and white photos. That's why I often snap photos in monochrome, and I'm always happy doing so because the outcomes are usually cool, just like this railway line.

I actually captured the photos some months ago while out in the field for work, around "Ama Ogbonna" area just off Okigwe Road.

Then, it was just reconstructed after being abandoned and in ruins for so many years. In fact, it was almost like a death trap. The experience I had travelling to Rivers State via the train was such a horrible one, that I vowed never to board a train ever again.

It was my first time, and I was looking forward to an enjoyable ride. However, it turned out to be a nightmare. I was so frightened that it felt like my soul left my body, lol. Thank goodness, I got to my destination safe, but not in one piece. 😂

You can imagine how excited I was seeing the track looking so cool, almost brand new. That's the power of technology!
