Seeing and Believing
Psychologists are always finding entertaining ways to mess with our minds and remind us that our reality is constructed by the interaction between our brain systems and external events. As an example, if you look closely at this image that I found at Science World, you will see red and orange spirals. They are actually the same colour- red. The addition of blue and yellow stripes causes the visual illusion because of the nature of our perceptual system, unless you're colour blind. To sum up, there are no orange spirals in this image. It's all red, cats, all red. 👀

Wow, my brain totally believed the orange was real, even though I knew it was a trick! It's crazy how our eyes and brain can fool us like that.
If you cover the blue and yellow colours, you can see that all the spirals are red. It's a great visual trick.
The optical illusion it creates is incredible!!
It's a great demonstration of our colour vision. Some artists take advantage of how light and colur affect us on different levels. The pointillists were very clever with it.
Reality is constructed by brain systems interacting with external cues. This is a great way to remind us/readers that perception isn’t always truth.
I find it very curious (and funny) how much goes on around us, yet we're not aware of it.
