Gliding On Grass

I saw the ship glide across the grass. Or so it seemed in a surreal way. This is a great example of object permanence. Although my eyes saw the ship gliding across the vegetation, I knew that the ship was simply floating along the ocean that lay on the other side. A lot of what we "know" about the world is actually not supported by direct perceptual evidence we experience with our senses. The brain is a master at creating illusions like object permanence.
