The beautiful caterpillar in the coconut garden

Good afternoon everyone 🍱🍹

today I want to show you several photos of caterpillars which are small in size but have a beautiful appearance, I found this caterpillar in the corner of a coconut plantation on the remains of a dead tree, actually I found this caterpillar accidentally while looking for dried coconut fruit, so around where I was looking for coconuts there was a tree that had been dead for a long time, my attention was attracted to a small, bright green object, at first I thought it was just a weed that usually grows on dead wood, I approached to make sure I wasn't confused, I was shocked and it turned out to be it was not a weed but a small creature with a very beautiful appearance.

I agree if you say that this caterpillar is similar to a swamp turtle, yes it is true that at first glance this caterpillar has similarities because this caterpillar also lives in a shell, you can see in every photo that the head of this caterpillar emerges from inside the shell and that's really true. It really resembles the way of life of a turtle with the protection of a shell, apart from that the entire body of this caterpillar is covered in small spines and I guess it contains toxic chemical compounds which cause irritation and even a burning sensation when touched.

This is the front of the caterpillar but the head is not clearly visible.

The caterpillars have poked their heads out from behind their shells and are looking down from their current position.

when the caterpillar was in this position I realized that the body of this caterpillar has a two-layer shell, the first is a green shell for the outside, and there you can see another white shell, do you see it?

The edge of the caterpillar's body has a wave pattern and is equipped with fine spines and I think this functions as the caterpillar's natural protection from predator attacks.

This is when the caterpillar has reversed its position, it seems to feel threatened when I captured several photos from a very close distance.

This caterpillar will come down from its previous position to hide.
