The Ganoderma is a species of fungus that is known for its abilities in the world of traditional medicine, this genus includes more than 80 species and most of the fungi from this species grow on dead and rotting wood. Mushrooms from this species are often found growing in tropical forests. and subtropical, where we live this fungus grows when the rainy season arrives because the dead wood has gone through a long decay process, apart from that this fungus has its own uniqueness, namely that the Genus Ganoderma fungus has a long life, and this is very different from the species other fungi in general.

Of the very large number of species of this genus, Ganoderma lucidum is one of the most popular among the others, because this mushroom has a long life and bright color, Ganoderma lucidum or more popularly known as "Lingzhi" or "immortal mushroom" in the term traditional Chinese medicine, history has recorded that this mushroom has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years because it is thought that this mushroom has many health benefits.

Some of the benefits often associated with Ganoderma mushrooms are; improves the immune system, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, lowers cholesterol, maintains heart health, reduces stress and anxiety, this mushroom is not only popular in past history, but some time ago I watched one of the videos that went viral on TikTok media showing that mushrooms Ganoderma was developed by mushroom farmers in China for medical purposes, which means that this mushroom is still used for medical purposes in the modern era. However, it should be noted that there are many health claims made from Ganoderma, but research on the effectiveness and safety of the mushroom is very limited. in need.
