Fungifriday|| Bolbitius aleuriatus mushroom

Hello everyone

This is my contribution to #fungifriday organized by @ewkaw

Today I had quite an interesting experience while exploring the garden near the house, after looking at the trees that had been abandoned for a long time, my gaze then fell on a tree of areca palm that had fallen down and had rotted, at the base of which had been buried in mud so the areca tree It was rotting and in damp conditions, and it was growing there with beautiful mushroom species with a unique and striking appearance.

The mushroom that I just found has a yellowish-white cap with a smooth texture that reminds me of the mushroom species "Bolbitius aleuriatus" which is a species of fungus that is known to grow in environments rich in organic matter, its cap tends to be shaped like a small umbrella, with different colors. which becomes paler at the edges, the stem is slender and fragile and gives a soft impression to its appearance, when I touched the mushroom it felt a little slippery, and this is one of the characteristic features of several species of mushrooms in the genus Bolbitius aleuriatus.

The presence of this fungus on rotting areca nut tree trunks is very interesting, because usually the Bolbitius aleuriatus fungus is more often found in habitats such as grasslands rich in fertilizer or wet soil, I wonder whether this fungus is really Bolbitius aleuriatus? This question spontaneously came to my mind, however, the discovery of these mushrooms in the garden has reminded me of how rich the biodiversity is around me. Even in places that often go unnoticed, rotting areca palm trees that may be considered insignificant turn out to be home to organisms that play an important role in ecosystem cycles, as you already know that every fungus has a role as a decomposer which converts organic material into elements. nutrients for the soil.

I feel that the discovery of this beautiful fungus on a rotten areca nut tree today is the right moment to delve deeper into the world of mycology, the next step is to identify this fungus more accurately, several things I can do are by comparing the spores or comparing them with scientific literature, whatever the results, Today's experience is a reminder that nature always holds surprises for anyone who pays close attention.
