The Auricularia fuscosuccinea fungus is a type of fungus which is included in the wood fungus group or where I live it is better known as "ear fungus", this fungus has a unique appearance with a shape resembling a human ear, for that reason this fungus is called "ear fungus red", this species of mushroom has varying colors, ranging from bright brown to dark brown, this is influenced by the level of humidity at the location where they grow and also the influence of the age of the mushroom, as you know, this mushroom is easily found in tropical and subtropical areas including my country I live in Indonesia, from the observational experience I have made that this fungus generally grows on dead and semi-rotted wood.

Auricularia fuscosuccinea has a chewy and elastic texture, in several areas in Indonesia this mushroom is often used as a culinary dish, in Kalimantan this mushroom is cooked as soup, while in West Sumatra this mushroom is made into stir fry, while in the city where I live this mushroom is used as an ingredient. a complement to traditional dishes, apart from its mild taste and attractive texture, this mushroom is also believed to contribute to health benefits, its nutritional content is quite diverse, starting from fiber, protein and a number of important minerals such as iron to magnesium, This mushroom is also said to be low in calories so it is suitable for a healthy diet.

Apart from being a culinary ingredient, Auricularia fuscosuccinea is also known for its benefits in the world of health, several studies show that this mushroom has the potential as an antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, some of the bioactive components in this mushroom are polysaccharides and phenolic compounds, these are believed to be ingredients immunity which is able to reduce cholesterol levels and also functions to improve the digestive system, while in the history of ancient Chinese traditional medicine this mushroom was often used to increase the body's vitality and also to treat respiratory disorders.
