Lepiota castanea - Deadly Gill Fungus

Latin nameObservation dateLocation
Lepiota castaneaNov 19, 2023Jeuleukat, Kec. Blang Mangat, Kota Lhokseumawe, Aceh

This mushroom is often accused of bringing disaster because it is poisonous, but it has a very beautiful and charming shape. The spores are white and have very thick gills and rings on the stems, making this mushroom look very beautiful. Usually these mushroom plants live alone and not in large groups and we often find them growing alone and far from other groups of mushrooms.

I found this poisonous beauty thriving on wood twigs that had started to rot with a yellowish white color, it had a very unique hat because it had a brownish red color in the middle of the hat of this mushroom and the gills under this hat were white and very thick and looked very charming. Finally I decided to immortalize this mushroom into a very beautiful work of photographic art that I wanted to share with friends in the nature observer community

These are some of the photos that adorn my post today on this beloved community
