FROM REDDIT TO GALAXY UNPACKED 2026

Checking in from Poland!

The last few days have been very intense for me. I spent several wonderful days in London at one of the world's most important technology events – Galaxy Unpacked 2026! But how did I end up being able to attend such an important international event? And what does this event look like behind the scenes? I invite you to keep reading.

A few weeks ago I received a message from Samsung on Reddit. I was a little bit surprised. At first I even thought it might be some kind of scam. However, I didn't ignore the message and decided to take a closer look. It turned out to be completely genuine. Someone had noticed my Reddit account and my activity in one of the subreddit (mobilephotography) and invited me to Galaxy Unpacked 2026! Once all the details were confirmed, all that was left was to count down the days until my trip. I was really curious to see what such an event looks like behind the scenes and I couldn't believe this is true :)

From the very beginning it was clear that the entire event was very well organized. I remained in constant contact with the organizers, who kept me informed about the logistics of the event. To make communication easier they also created a WhatsApp group for everyone invited through Reddit. On the first day after our arrival we attended an onboarding session, where we were informed about how the entire event would take place. We also had the opportunity to look at Samsung's existing products and devices, together with its entire ecosystem.

After the onboarding session, we had the rest of the day to ourselves. Of course I used this time to explore London. I visited Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye. I'm sure I'll be sharing photos from this trip on my profile very soon. In the evening the organizers invited us to dinner at a nearby restaurant. The food was excellent!

On the day of the launch I was a little excited. After all, it was the day that almost the whole world had been waiting for. At around 1:30 p.m., we arrived at the venue, where the international atmosphere of the event was noticeable from the very beginning. There were many journalists, content creators, media representatives and invited guests from all over the world. Some of them also appeared on stage during the presentation to share their experiences and stories.

This year's presentation was dedicated to the new Galaxy products, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the new Galaxy Watch series. During the presentation, a lot of attention was also given to partnerships and the direction in which new technologies are being developed. It was also a big surprise for me that Samsung unveiled AI-powered smart glasses. The presentation was very dynamic and kept the audience's attention throughout.

After the presentation all participants were invited to the Experience Zone, where we could see all the new products and devices up close. It was the first opportunity to actually hold the devices in our hands, test some of their features and talk to Samsung experts, who were very willing to answer our questions and explain the new functions.

The Experience Zone was not limited only to the devices themselves. We could also see many different accessories, such as earbuds and phone cases. Everything was organized in a way that allowed every participant to take their time and become familiar with the selected devices.

The event ended with a very pleasant surprise for me. I was given the opportunity to test the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for the next three months. This will allow me to see how the phone performs not only while taking photos, but also during my travels across Europe.

However, that was not everything the organizers had prepared for us. In the evening after the official part of the event had ended, all participants were invited to Galaxy Night. It was a great opportunity to talk to the other participants and share our first impressions in a much less formal atmosphere.

The organizers provided food and drinks, a DJ played music throughout the evening and there was even a short live performance. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with people who had travelled from different parts of the world to attend the event.

The following day, another very interesting part of the program was waiting for us. In the morning, we met with Samsung experts responsible for the development of camera technology, who told us about the latest features introduced by Samsung.
I think one of the new features I liked the most was My Fan Camera, which allows you to keep one selected person in focus throughout the video. Another feature I really liked was Dual Recording, which allows you to record yourself and the subject you are filming at the same time. I think this feature will be especially useful for YouTubers and TikTok creators.

After that, we spent about two hours cruising along the River Thames, with the opportunity to photograph London from a completely different perspective. We passed some of the city's most iconic landmarks while testing the new camera features in constantly changing scenery.

The cruise was a perfect complement to the workshop, as it allowed us to immediately put into practice the solutions the Samsung experts had just introduced to us.

I’m really happy that I had the opportunity to take part in such an amazing event! I never imagined that one day I would receive an invitation to Galaxy Unpacked. 😊 It was an unforgettable experience and I truly hope it was the first of many, not the last.

This experience also reminded me that developing your passions, staying consistent and putting your heart into what you do can open doors you never even imagined would one day open for you. Sometimes, opportunities come from the most unexpected places.
