Illinois Proposes Strategic Bitcoin Reserve with a 5-year Hodl Strategy
Strategic Bitcoin Reserve has been in discussion for quite some time and after Trump took the oath in the USA, this has been an even more important topic. Bitcoin reserve in the US is a big update and people are expecting Trump to approve this. He has started working in that direction, but this may take some time. Now Illinois State in the US has introduced House Bill 1844 (HB1844) and this is a proposal to create a special fund, that will be used to buy Bitcoin and hold. This is going to be with a 5-year holding period.
The AI debate started again after the launch of Deepseek which is a Chinese AI chatbot. Some countries like Australia do not support Deepseek but the UK and the USA do. The number of downloads reflects this and possible a new AI war is going to start. Deepseek claims that their AI is way cheaper than ChatGPT by OpenAI
We have ETF for Bitcoin and ethereum and now the question is what next coin is going to be listed in the ETF list? Can it be Solana, XRP or Litecoin? Some companies have filled ETFs for different crypto coins but there is a recent development about Litecoin ETF. There is a new update that Canary Capital is ready to launch Litecoin ETF and they have got the approval for this from the SEC. This is just a news update for now because the official announcement has not been made till now.
Energy is part of our life and its needed for us to run many things. Its also needed for the technology to run and the need for energy exists in almost everything. The US is going through an energy deficit and Trump has declared a National energy emergency. US President Trump has issued an executive order declaring a national energy emergency based on the nation's energy needs which is a problem area. There is a need for the US to create more energy sources and possibly a good time to enhance energy independence.
