The newest Tesla’s cars have all the technologies needed for full autonomous driving. While it still requires a driver that will watch over the vehicle but he doesn’t have interact with the drivving at all. This autopilot function has been in testing with a broad group of volunteers but in early 2021 it will be released as a paid service to all its customers.

Elon Musk himself confirmed this to be the case. The autonomous autopilot should be available to customers with a compatible car. It will be activate through a software update and will require a monthly payment. The option to buy it should appear in early 2021 and the price is not known yet.

And autonomous driving will certainly be a luxury. Just to have the function in the car on a technological level you need to pay roughly 10,000 USD extra. Without the update the car has cruise control, a parking assistant, can drive of and on a highway, and reads traffic signs and lights.

After the update (and if you pay) it will also provide fully autonomous driving.

I know that until now, you had to pay already $7500 to add the autopilot, parking assistant etc..

Will the 10k be added to that price ? Because that would start to be a really huge price.
