Nova B2 vs Starship: price per kilo to orbit

Both Stoke Nova B2 and Starship are fully reusable, so how does price per kilo to orbit compare?

Falcon made ~$4,000-4,500 per kilo to LEO feel normal.

Nova Block 2 and Starship are both chasing the same kind of economics - but they are different size classes.

  • Nova Block 2: about 15 t LEO fully reusable (Stoke), first flight targeted 2029.
  • Starship: ~100 t class when it is working.
  • Falcon: still the yardstick - roughly $67-70M list for ~15-17 t reusable.

So, best guess estimates (not company price lists) show the following.

  • Block 2 (15 t full): about $1,000-1,500/kg.
  • Starship: about $300-500/kg.

Versus Falcon:
Block 2 ~3× cheaper per kilo.
Starship ~8-15× cheaper per kilo.

Starship likely wins raw $/kg when full. Block 2 still looks competitive.

If you're only sending 15 t, rideshare on Starship or solo on Nova B2?
