High Blood Pressure and it's impact on Human health

When they say "Health is wealth" of the truth , health is wealth. I can't forget the day my dad fell as a result of high blood pressure, it was a movie to me thank God that I did not result in a stroke. High Blood Pressure also called hypertension is a silent killer why it does show any symptoms like other diseases that possess some symptoms, with those you can actually pinpoint the disease.

High blood pressure can increase unhealthy conditions like stroke, heart diseases, kidney diseases, chest pain, severe headaches, dementia. High blood pressure surfaces as a result of condition whereby the blood pushing through the body arteries is constant is high. As we all know high blood known HP is measured in millimeters of Mercury (mmHg). Before going into the reading of high blood pressure we have the categories of blood pressure:
● The normal blood pressure which reads 120/80mmHg.
● High blood pressure 1 which reads 130-139/80-89mmHg
● High blood pressure 2 which reads 140 or more/90 or more.
● But normal High blood Pressure reading is 130/80mmHg or more.
Note: Blood pressure reading higher than 180/120 is known to be a high blood pressure crisis, in that emergency medical attention is needed.

The causes of high blood Pressure
The health causes of high blood pressure are:
1. Diabetes: Diabetes is a disease that is caused by a change in blood sugar level and is of two types namely: type 1 diabetes whereby the immune system of a body scatters the cells that produce insulin. Insulin regulates the amount of glucose(sugar) in the body. Another type of diabetes is type 2 diabetes whereby the immune system of a body does not produce insulin. High blood pressure can result in either type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

2. Kidney (chronic kidney) disease: This disease occurs mainly at old age. It Is a condition where the kidney is no longer at work. Some may call it kidney failure, Its signs are swollen legs, ankles or feet, blood in the urine, tiredness etc.

3. Sleep Apnoea: This occurs as a result of start and stop breathing and it happens while sleeping. The signs of sleep apnoea are :snoring(loud), waking up alot, a lot of noises (it can be choking noise, gasping) and start and stop breath, abrupt emotional state.

4. Intake Of Tobacco: As we know tobacco is an ingredient that pushes addiction. Addiction here implies smoking can be cigarettes, cocaine, loud etc. Intake of Tobacco can lead to high blood pressure, causing an increase in the blood pressure and heart rate to be faster and making the blood vessels to become narrow.

5. Intake Of Alcohol: Intake of alcohol causes reduction of blood cells body, making the blood arteries to become narrower. The more intake of alcohol the higher the increase of blood pressure.

6. Lack Of Physical Activity: The heart is known to be a channel that pumps blood to all the parts of the body. Lack of physical activity like exercises leading to weight gain will make the heart not to pump the required blood needed by the body there leading to increase in high blood pressure.

7. Lack Of Healthy Eating Habits: Lack of a good diet can result in the body becoming overweight which in turn will cause the heart to pump more blood and when the heart pumps more blood; it leads to high blood pressure. High intake of food content that contains sodium like canned food, fermented food.

Remedies to high blood pressure
High blood pressure being a silent killer disease, there are remedies that can be used to reduce the rate at which the heart pumps blood (high blood pressure) and maintain a healthy heart.

The Remedies Are:
1. Be active in physical activity like exercise: Before you embark on an exercise mask, ask your doctor about the safe exercise that will fit you or that will be safe for you. Also engaging in physical activity helps the body burn fat in the form of sweat and create room for easy flow of blood from the heart to all parts of the body.

2. Follow diet approaches to eliminate high blood pressure Their approaches are; constant intake of vegetable, fruits. Reduction in processed foods, juices and deserts. Avoid dairy products that are high in fat examples: Heavy cream, butter, full fat cheese etc, these products limit the flow of blood in the body.

3. High intake of food Content that contains sodium (Salt): This will increase the blood pressure in the body. To reduce its effect the use of spices and herbs should be encouraged in place of sodium to add flavor to the food. Remember that canned or processed food contains sodium to prevent reading the label of any processed food to know the level of sodium it contains.

4. Quit the intake of alcohol: The high intake of alcohol leads to the rise in blood pressure, say yes to drinking of water. It is shown that water helps in the free flow of water and helps the body to stay active always. A study shows that men need about 13 cups of water and females need about 9 cups of water per day which is of great importance to the body.

Summary
Like I said earlier, high blood pressure is a killer disease in that it does not show any symptoms before it ends one's life. It is advisable to go for regular check of your blood pressure by the doctor, know the exercise routine that most suit the blood.
