We are at 5G now, 10G is coming

Greetings everyone!

Life has brought us order through countless inventions, yet some pose serious societal problems. While acknowledging that every advantage comes with disadvantages, certain innovations, while helpful, also create crises.
It's evident that the very conveniences meant to simplify our lives can inadvertently contribute to complex challenges. This is so true and can't be argued because whatever has an advantage must surely be accompanied by its disadvantage too.

I've read a lot of people's entries on this topic, and I dug deep to pick a totally unique one, which I think, though we do not consider it much, is deeply wrecking us.

What is it?
It's the modern internet system!

I was among those that used 10MB for weeks and even months without getting exhausted, and the funny thing is that this 10MB often comes as a bonus when we recharge our line.

Life was so simple in those days that we didn't run helterskelter to look for money to buy data. Java and Simbia phones with a 2G network were what we knew then.

Comparing that with what we have now, you'll see that we are in hell already and still smiling because we feel the internet is better now.

When we switched from 2G to 3G, the price of the data subscription increased, and this same data subscription finishes very quickly compared to 2G because the speed has increased.

At the time of 3G, a lot of us lamented on the increased spending on the data subscriptions, but we loved it more too, because we could stream videos conveniently.

This was actually the first time I began to purchase data subscription, as if I were working for a telecommunications company. A lot of people who were enjoying 2G switched to 3G because the phones at that age were no longer supporting 2G or on a very minimal level.

Not just me; many of us suffered this until we unavoidably adapted to 3G.

What of 4G?

Currently, how much do you spend on data?

I know you're among those who are working and giving everythingto data companies. You can't dodge this.😄

Look how far we've come! We've complained but had to accept it because 4G has a faster mode of connecting.

Look at this:

If 3G was connecting at a rate of 5kb/sec, 4G should be 1mb/sec.

If you were burning 100MB per hour on a 3G network, you'd be burning 1GB per hour on 4G.

I have friends that are so freaked by internet speed, and they can use any strength with the help of a VPN to increase their internet speed, which means more data burn and that's more spending of money.

What about 5G?

Although we are enjoying it and, at the same time, complaining about the data consumption rate during those stages of the network, In case you're not using a 5G phone yet, do you know the speed of the internet connection there? It's crazy.

We are at 5G now; what of the incoming ones like 6G, 7G, and 8G?

I bet you, life is going to be harder than it is now with regards to how much we spend on data subscriptions.

Thanks for reading.

I too rember if time when i was using keypad cell phone and 50mb were used to be enough for me for one week. But now even sometimes 40gb of my weekly data exhausts out before due date

Okay nah. I hope we don't get into bigger troubles we didn't expect.
Both the use of these phones and data emits energy that is getting to us on daily basis as well....
