Travel to the Future

Before I proceed, I want to ask: if I travel to the future or the past, will I have the power to change things, or will I just be there to catch up with what is to come or relive past events? If I will not have the power to change anything, then I would rather prefer to travel to the future rather than the past.

Like the prompt narration states, if the government of my country is giving out a ticket to either travel to the future or the past, which one would I pick? I will go for TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE.

WHY?

The past is the past. I know I have made mistakes through poor decisions or even good decisions that did not turn out well for me, and because it is now in the past, I cannot change anything. I am only left to deal with the future. I would have opted to travel to the past to correct some mistakes, such as buying BTC with a small amount of money or farming it in the form of an airdrop when it was first released, but since I cannot change anything, there will be no need for that. I also know that there are good moments in the past that I would love to relive again, but that would not add any value to my life when I return to the present. It would only make me more emotional and probably fill me with even more regrets, especially in a situation where I go back to meet a deceased loved one while they were still alive.

But for the future, knowing the outcome of things that are going to happen is already a big win. Yes, things cannot be completely controlled, but when I know how events will unfold in the near future, I can take positive steps to make the “seen” outcome advantageous to me. Imagine traveling to the future and discovering that I will attain wealth in two years, regardless of whatever is happening in my life now, my mind would be at ease, and I would probably reduce the pressure I have placed on myself.

What about situations like sports betting or the crypto market? I do not engage in betting, but if I were to travel to the future and know the nation or club that will win cups and leagues, I could return and place an early bet on them with a significant amount of money. In the end, I would make a fortune from it. The same idea applies to the crypto market as well.
