One season of electrocution

I've had two experiences with touching water that's electrocuted, and those moments weren't funny at all, even though I made it look like an experiment.
And Incase you don't know, electric shock from water manifests deeper compared to the shocks we experience through the mistake of touching wires we ought not to.

During my first year in school, I stayed in an indigenous compound where every male in the compound was an electrician by 'hard practice'. All of them had electrician's tools like pliers, testers, and screwdrivers in their house, including the landlord, and I wasn't left out. Whenever glitches occur in the compound, we would compete on whom to fix it to take the glory, we don't go about looking for a well-grounded electrician.

It was during our tenure in the compound that a borehole was installed. The process of putting the borehole in the compound was a long one due to how stingy the landlord was, which resulted in the borehole not having a tank to store water; we only fetch from the source when it's pumping via electricity, either public or private electricity.
The connection centre to which the Sumo was connected was likened to that of the whole country's source of electricity due to how zigzag the wires were. We were fine; we didn't care how dangerous such connections were; as long as they're working, there's no issue at all.

On the early morning of a particular Wednesday, I woke up to meet electricity, which is not something we see often, so I decided to go fetch water before they seize the light. I picked up three buckets and went to the backyard where the borehole is, turned on the switch connected to the Sumo, and voom! Water started to rush out with full force from the pipe. I picked one of the buckets, and as I was about to use it to collect the rushing water, the water splashed on my boy, and I felt a vibration on my body "Grriiiin!"

I jumped off feeling surprised, "Was that from the water?" I pondered and checked around to see if maybe I was stepping on a naked wire, but that's not it. I decided to try it again. I put my hand into the rushing water, and this time around, I almost fell to the ground.

I rushed to turn off the switch, went to tell my guys in the compound, and they all doubted.
"What do you mean by the water is shocking?"
"Don't mind him; maybe he's experiencing psych as a karma for the bad things he has done."

The three of them made mockery of me.

"I don't blame you guys, just Come and see for yourself."

They all got up and wore their slippers. I noticed that and asked, "Are you scared? Why are you wearing slippers instead of normal footwear?" They all laughed and followed me. I led them there, turned on the switch, and told one of them to put his hand down, but he refused out of fear, and meanwhile, he was boasting before we got there.

Another experience was in my former workplace

In my former place of work, there was a period (almost a month) that was declared a shocking period by the &electrical spirit' surrounding the area—yes, not just the compound but the entire street.

It all started when everything in the hall began to shock. Going to the refrigerator to pick up a drink became scary, and even the metal parts of the chairs we were using were shocking.

The manager of the company invited an electrician to rectify the issue; the electrician did his work, and everything became normal—for that day only.

The next day, the harsh spirit of electricity resumed its work, and this time, it entered the kitchen, and everything there was shocking, including spoons and water.

We were just two males in the setting: me and the manager, and the manager is not always on the seat. So most of the tests by the ladies were being channelled to me to exhibit my bravery.
I remember when Precious (one of the staffs) noticed that the water in the washing sink was shocking. She called me to come and see after feeling the vibration.
I knew she was not lying, even when other ladies doubted her because they wanted me to check. I didn't bother to check because I wasn't ready to lose 7 sachets of blood; I just concurred.

On the Friday of that same week, I went to the bank to meet the manager for receipt verification (I usually go there every Friday), and on getting there, I met people standing instead of sitting on the empty chair.
I was about to sit when they all exclaimed, "Guy, wait! That seat is shocking!".

Haaaa! I obediently followed them to stand instead of sitting because I wasn't ready to lose blood.
