Human Evolution: The Next Bus stop

Hello! đź‘‹

Over the years, humans have faced different stages of evolution, and while some have appeared abnormal at the early stage and gave us weird thoughts and difficulty to fully afford, some of them have been so easy and fully helpful from the start to live well and adapt to the path the world is driving us.

There are just so many changes in human life, both physical and social, that have made life better. I don't want to go far in pointing out some of them. We all know that some years ago, we never saw anything bad in female genital circumcision. I was sensible as a child in those days when it was a compulsory thing to circumcise a female child just as they did to the male genital. No one (at least in the part of the world I was brought up in) saw it as a wrong thing. It was a culture—or rather, a belief—passed down from generation to generation. But in this modern age, humans have come to understand the downside of it, hence the fight against female circumcision. This is a big evolution of human traits because back in the days of our forefathers, they never saw this as a wrong thing. They all lived with their women circumcised, and it didn’t affect their lifestyle. But now, the world as a whole has evolved a lot in all aspects, and humans have been able to see the dangers and limitations the act of female circumcision poses.

What evolution in humans do I think would come up next?

My brain didn’t think far to come up with an answer to this. Of course, it’s the ability of humans to live with planted electronic chips. I have seen movies—uncountable movies—in this field, and each time, I just know that very soon we are all going to be okay with allowing electronic chips to be planted in us, which will help us adapt and live effortlessly with the fast-growing technological universe.

On Facebook this week, I came across a post that had Elon Musk’s photo, and the post stated that Elon Musk said that in some years to come, we’ll no longer use phones because everything will be planted in our brains. I didn’t bother to read the post in detail because it could be a clickbait by the poster, but apart from that, there’s a whole lot of truth in the post. It’s just a matter of time—we will start living like the cyborgs we watch in movies, and everyone is going to be okay with it because the world will be so advanced technologically that everyone will adapt. Or don’t you want to connect with a friend abroad and start talking and seeing them live without the use of a phone, as in a video call? Yes, the time is coming, and everyone alive then will gladly accept the evolution.

The interesting thing is that, when that time comes, there’ll be objections, but in the long run, people are going to adapt, just like the way we did when people totally succumbed to a “No to female circumcision.”

Thanks for reading.

I love how you used the example of female circumcision to show how much we’ve grown as humans. It’s true, things we once saw as normal are now clearly wrong, and that’s real evolution. As for the idea of chips being planted in our bodies, it sounds scary but I won’t even be surprised if it happens. The world is changing so fast, and like you said, we’ll all adapt with time.
